- When in operation it shakes the conputer table and screen, and a bit noisy, but that maybe because we have it on top of the table now and not in the computer cupboard.

- As a complete beginner I could have done with a bit more information on using the printer. I find it quite fiddly to get paper into correct position and paper tray is a bit flimsy.

+ This was easy to set up and was purchased for my father which for him to switch on a computer is an effort. This stand alone printer is easy to use and after set up dad had it mastered which is one less thing for me to do!

+ Good print quality, looks and value for money especially the inks. Setup was very easy for me. Scan quality is okay in my view.

- Noisy, in fact the noisiest printer I have heard. The paper tray is at best functional –overall the paper tray lets the printer down. In my opinion the noise would be acceptable had all other aspects been of the printer been okay. I needed a new printer and fell for the hype over ink pricing – and it looked good too! How the paper tray passed development to production without someone somewhere along the line pointing out that it is borderline useless, I don’t know. You have been warned!

- Mechanically prone to faults, ie my first one started giving me error messages referring to loose or missing printhead and/or ink cartridges,but they were removed and reseated many times ,and the contacts checked for clenliness,but to no avail,this was after less than a weeks use, so now i have a replacement which i hope will not let me down,

- It needs a kodak 8-in-one card reader but unable to purchase from dixons or any-where

+ Neat printer, easy to set up from new and easy to use. Easy to change ink cartridges, and they do seem to last longer than on previous printers I have had. Good quality prints, and excellent photo quality, produced some fantastic A4 size pictures that look professionally done.

- Although there are some set-up instructions, there are no basic written operational instructions, these are available on-line, but can be a nuisance when you just want to know how to do something quickly. The printer has a front loading paper tray; if the printer is stored at knee level on a computer workstation this can easily be broken off unless it is put away after each use, which also means that the paper has to be removed each time after use. This is not a problem if only used by adults, but if you have children it is a different story. Mine lasted all of 4 days; I can still use it, but can no longer close the printing compartment. If stationed on a dektop then not a problem.
