+ Good printing quality and cheap ink

- It isn't compatible with my old iMac, so I can use it with only my PC.

+ This is an excellent printer for all round, everyday, home use. I have found that the print capabilities (moderate usage)and quality more than adequately meet my needs. I have used the scanner and copier functions which I also find adequate. The accompanying software is also easy to use.
I will soon be using this printer a lot more frequently and if the very economical ink usage is true it will have been a very good buy.

- On initial startup I thought there was a problem due to the amount of noise and time that was taken but this seems to be a normal part of use.
Don't be in a hurry.

+ value for the money, and like kodak say the ink lasts longer than any other named brand printer i have owned in the past.

- the only bad thing i have found is the paper feed storage is a bit clumsey as to lack of space in my home.

+ Easy to use and set up, cheap to buy and to maintain with the low cost of printer cartridges. Printer cartridges fit most of the Kodak range so there's no chance they're going to follow other makers by making a new type of cartridge for each model thus increasing cost. Scanning is easy and competent; the ability to scan multiple pictures at the same time could save time although I haven't had time to try that yet.

- Internal paper storage would be nice, you have to take the paper out to close the front flap if you're not going to use the printer for a while. It's a bit noisy on start up but OK when actually printing.

- Cartridges run out quite a bit quicker than other inkjet cartridges. Replace them every 2½ - 3 weeks.

- Seems slow sometimes, and the ink is going down quite quickly - but that might be because it comes with smaller sample cartridges? I'm not sure.

- Does not hold much paper and has no way of collecting finished copy which comes out above the input.
Unless you have the paper guide set absolutely right it tends to take paper in crooked. Several times it has gone into a sort of sulk mode where it appears to be printing a document but nothing actually comes out. The only way I seem to be able to re-set it is to shut down the PC (Ctrl Alt Del etc!) then use the desktop icon to restore the printer's default configuration.
