+ Better made (more metal) than the A910 it has succeeded. Very quiet. Can also get it slower than the older model.

- Metal bowl will get some getting used to (prefer the old acrylic bowl at present)

Mo, Southend-on-Sea , “I love cooking.”

+ This is the best mixer I have ever had. It is very strong and will cope with any thickness of mixture. I have successully mixed bread dough; prepared mixtures for cakes, biscuits and scones; blended butter icing; whisked up egg whites - it has never let me down. The bowl is big and stays cool. The splash guard is OK, but to be honest I don't use it much. The tools are really great; basic and made for the job. I hate lots of quirky gadgets that just sit in the cupboard gathering dust. I give it 10 out of 10.

- The recipe book is a bit disappointing. Give me Marguerite Patten any day.

+ we like the liquidiser can go on the top

- the lid on the bowl is difficult to shut properly
the lid on the top for the liquidiser attachment is not esay to get off and is not so user friendly.
otherwise we are happy

+ A replacement for a previous model purchased over 30 years ago (still working but showing signs of age). Hope this one gives just the same service.

- No bad points noticed at this time, but having had a Kenwood for so long do not anticipate any.

+ have had a Kenwood Chef for over 30 years, and obviously this one is excellent. Especially for making bread as the old one didn't have a dough hook

+ Powerful, quiet operation with excellant variable speed control. A great improvement on the first class Kenwood Chef that I bought 16 years ago.

- Two small but important design faults:
1. Rubber non-slip feet weak and tear off or come out if the machine is moved across a surface rather than lifted.
2. What a pity that there is a 'hole' on the underneath side of the arm above the top edge of the mixing bowl where food can become lodged and is difficult to clean.

+ I like the robustness of the machine - I thought that being white, it would be plasticky , so was pleasantly surprised by the white metal enamel finish

- Splash guard is a little fiddly

+ Quieter running than my old, previous model bought in 1979, which finally expired after years of hard use, in October. Still has the same excellent motor which can cope with anything. I like the new splashguard and the convenience of the hinged section.

- I have found it difficult to open the high speed outlet and attach the liquidiser.
