+ Simple and straight foward to use and makes very good chips.

- No 'rise and fall' mechanism with the lid closed, so hot oil splashes out when basket is loweed.

+ Ease of use. Very little smell of cooking. Easy to clean after use.

- Has no 'off ' switch on the fryer.

- Removing oil to strain it is not easy as you have to tip the whole base section.

- much too hard to empty and clean, need a separate container that can be removed to get rid of old oil, at the moment the whole thing must be used, much too awkard

+ no need to buy filters as you just wash the lid in hot soapy water
