+ Bought this for athritic mum who really enjoys baking but finds hand mixing very difficult.
Results using this machine excellent! Compact design takes up liitle room on kitchen counter. Light easy to move about. Good accesories provided with initial purchase with opportunities to extend these furrther if/as required. Splash guard ideal and saves mess.

- Button to remove beaters not available so have to lift top to do this. Depending on mixture this can be a bit messy. Setting of beater can mean you have to push mixture down from sides of bowl quite a few times.

+ great with larger quantities

- no so good with small quantities

+ easy to use nice clean lines easy to clean.

- the bowl is a little too deep you still have to scrape sides and make sure all the mixture at the bottom has mixed

+ Just fantastic, after putting up with the same old mixer for 30 yrs. I feel I have now joined the 21st Century!

+ Good design and most effective all round. Just the right size for two or a small family. Very easy to handle with very simple instructions which were easy to follow

+ Compact design means it will fit into a pan drawer, and also takes us less counter space when in use.
The modern design and silver colour suit modern kitchens.
Most of the parts can be cleaned in the dish washer, and are easy to clean.
The mixer is good and does a decent job of mixing. The processor is quite good and versatile.

- The processor chopping and grating blades leave a gap between the blade and the top of the processor lid, which means unchopped pieces of food can get trapped and / or fall through into the bowl. When loaded, the processor can make the mixer vibrate when in use.

+ Really light compared to the older model but still with a good strong engine which feels like it will take you through many years of baking!

- No bad points

+ Convenient shape for easy display on kitchen work surface. Not having to put the product in a cupboard (because it takes up too much room in the kitchen)means that I am more likely to use it. Light and easy to move. Silver - won't discolour like white can do.

+ I had a 2nd hand model before this one that lasted more than 30 years. Reliable powerful mixer, beater, whisker, kneader all in one.

- Takes up a bit of room on worksurface and heavy to put away all the time, not very dishwasher friendly.

+ this is the third i have had and have found them very good on performance therefore no regrets ,infact since i bought the last one in march i repaired the old one (worned out brushes ) and cleaned it up and it is as new ,the new one is now a spare .

+ This is an excellent piece of kitchen equipment which does exactly what it says on the box! It has been in constant almost daily use since purchase. I have not bought separate attachments as reviews suggested they were not so good as stand alone pieces. I also have Kenwood chef food processors for chopping etc.

- There really aren't any bad points. I am not in the least bit disappointed with the purchase.

+ Everything is good about this product except with small adjustment below to make this machine a perfect product

- It would be a perfect product for small bakers or homemaker who loves to bake if you put a handle on the mixing bowl for easy holding. It makes pouring the batter into piping bag or in baking tin a lot easier. I use your product to make many batches of Italian meringue for my business. The boiling sugar is pour on egg white without stopping the whisking process until you get the right consistency batter. If you adjust your design slightly to accommodate this feature, you will sell more of these machines to small businesses like us. It is so hard to pour boiling sugar now but if you make the mixing bowl slightly bigger, it will do the work. Just a small adjustment, I am sure these machines will be popular for small businesses

+ great item had an older model for a few years and this inspired me to purchase a new one when my old one stopped working. Quiet, and is everything it says it is. Great attachments available to be able to make great food. Would recommend this mixer to anyone considering to buy one.

- The shoot n the bowl spalsh guard is a little fiddly to use.

+ Having benowner of a Kenwood chef for almost 30 yrs i did not think it could be improved this new model proved me wrong,

+ I like the stainless steel bowl.

- liquidizer is rubbish compared to the glass one I had on the old machine. Also I'm annoyed to find that the bean slicer and mincer I bought to go with my old machine won't fit this one.

+ Having had a previous Kenwood Chef for many years - until the motor burned out - this was a replacement. It does all the things that the old one did and far better than a borrowed 'food processor' did before we bought it.

- Not so sturdy and well built as the old one was (plastic used where old one was metal). Too easy to accidentally give a the mixer a high-speed 'pulse' when switching off. Some of the accessories from the old one do not fit the new one so need to be replaced.

+ Kenwood build quality.
Does everything it says it does on the main functions, effortlessly.
All the older accessories from 25 years ago still fit the new model.

- Some of the weirder accessories don't work as well as specialised equipment.

+ I bought one 27 years ago and it's still performing flawlessly. This was a requested graduation present for my daughter, she adores it and I fully expect it to be still doing all that she needs it to in 27 years time.

- Cleaning can be fiddly

- For large quantities of mixture bowl capacity is small. Also heavy cake mixtures it seems to srtuggle compared to the standard kenwwod.

+ Does the job well, mixing, whisking and kneading dough. Worth the money.

- Rather noisy even at low speeds. Controls feel a bit cheap and tinny. It vibrates on the worktop when in use.

+ The previous Kenwood Chef lasted us 46 years. There are some improvements on this latest design.

+ The product enables the cook to achieve a wide variety of recipes with just the one machine.
I like it especially because it is comparatively compact despite its range.
The liquidiser is ideal for soups in preference to a food processor because it creates real smoothness.
Hand kneading can be time consuming and tedious so the dough hook is a bonus.
The whisk achieves a lightness and fluffiness not easily obtained by hand whisking.

- Although a spatular is included I find that when baking, despite using a gentle speed, butter and sugar tend to be dispersed up the sides of the bowl and constantly need pushing back down.
I have wondered if this bowl is steeper sided than the previous bowls.
We have had Kenwood Chefs for forty years. I can't recall this being an issue previously. Is there a solution to this?

+ It does all that it sets out to do, and we have since bought the turbo slice attachment. I don't know how I mangaed the chutney and preserving season without it! I had a very very old Chef which had finally given up the ghost, and I am equally pleased, actually more pleased with this new one, as there are even more attachements available than there was with my very old one.

- When the attachements are on, the drive for the beater doesn't disengage, which can then hit the tools stored in the bowl. But not a problem as long as you remember to take them out first!

+ Great size, sturdy machine, does what it says on the box!! Have wanted a Kenwood Chef for ages but not won the lottery yet, this is a great compromise for a family. I love it!!
