+ Small and has many features that can let you edit the footage while it is still on the camera.

- The format for the video isn't compatible with many editing programs, which is quite annoying when you need to do a film project or DVD.

+ It is really light and records really high quality images and video. Put a 2gb scan disc in the cam corder and you get a load of pictures right at your fingertips.

- For the money it was fine but HD camcorders give such a difference it was worth making the investment now to protect memories for the future. In 10 years i won't remember how much more I paid for the high def version (GZ-HD300)

+ Very small and compact - could fit into a handbag which is ideal when you've got young children you might want to capture on film at any moment. Very easy to use and picture quality is very good for the price range.
