Indesit IWME12 reviews: Front Loading loading, 5.5kg capacity washing machine

+ Large drum, effective spin cycle.

- Fast spin rather noisy.

+ good selection of programs, short wash good, nice and quiet - overall I am pleased with this product but I have only owned it for a few weeks and time will tell whether it will last a good few years - machines seem to be built these days to break down much quicker.

- The only bad point I could find is the spin is not quite as good as my previous machine but it is certainly adequate and should not put anyone off buying it.

- Wash cycle is slightly longer than I expected

+ Price was great for an integrated appliance. Time saver programmes excellent for kids clothes that just need freshening up. Time delay very useful and use most days as i go 2 bed then can get up and empty washing.

- there is no digital display so therefore no indication of how long left onthe cycle. slightly confused how the magnet to hold the cupbaord door shut is actually fixed on. The instructions are not as clear as they need to be, or maybe it's just me!

+ Excellent value for money. Many different programmes. Very quiet. Even lower spin speeds are very efficient.Does not use an excessive amount of water and heats from cold very quickly.

- Does not have a daily wash that is able to spin appropriately.
The pump is constantly pumping throughout the spin cycle even though it has nothing to pump out.
The spin is set for the particular programme and therefore only spins for certain programmes, meaning you have to re-spin things, very annoying.

+ Fits well into a intergrated kitchen, the holes for the doors are where they should be (not like other appliances we've had), I love the wash powder despencer to opens out all the way, would certainly recommend buying

- its not really a bad point but just something which would improve it, it hasnt got a minute timer on so you can't tell how long you've got left on the wash

+ Delayed start means we can set it up in the morning and the cycle will just be finishing when we get home from work. Spin cycle dries the clothes much more than old machine

- You can't use detergents in the detergent draw for the delayed cycle. We use the little plastic cup that comes with liquid detergents and just put it carefully in the bowl with the clothes and then use the delay timer.

- Paddles in the drum are of the same design as my previous machine, and have a tendancy to come away from the drum rendering the machine useless when everthing else is still functioning perfectly

- Half load function is not obvious. There is not a mention in the Instruction Manual. Apparently it is automatic.

+ Good machine, quite quiet, pump goes on a bit but other than that it is good. It has a very quick programme for when you are in a hurry, expecially when working, it just takes 30 minutes. Good spin speeds too as well as a selection of heat settings

- Spin could be a little better Not really a bad point, but for those of you who need a longer drain hose and need to replace the original make sure you get one with a right angle, I need a longer hose and just swapped over the one that I already had connected to my outlet, it didn't have a right angle, a couple of weeks into use and I had a flood in the kitchen, the concrete inside the machine on the drum had been moving up and down as it does and hitting the pipe which wore away the pipe leading to the leak
