+ Good value for money. Simple to use. Energy efficient. Previous experience with other indesits suggest reliability. Has worked perfectly since installation.

- The new style electronic push button start means you can't load the machine select the programme and press start with the power off. We used to do this with our old indesit machine which then allowed us to use an external timeswitch so the machine ran overnight on Economy 7 cheaper electricity. With the new machine the electronic on/off swith rather than the old mechanical switch makes this impossible. There is no inbuilt delay timer in the machine itself so this makes setting a delayed start time impossible ! This is a step backwards.

+ We wanted to replace a long-serving but failing washing machine with something efficient but inexpensive because in two months time we are replacing the entire kitchen. This machine was the ideal stop-gap replacement as it was the cheapest available but which definitely provides impressive performance.
This machine is definitely worth considering and buying unless you want a much quieter and far more expensive Miele or similar type of machine.

Doesn't clean all that well on a quick wash - my last washing machine was 'not' top of the range, but cleaned really well on a quick wash.

+ Cycle times aren't too long, and you can use the economy button to reduce the length of cycle by 30%. The machine spins very well, but isn't too loud, and the drum is a decent size. It's not too expensive either. My last machine was an Indesit as well - and it lasted 9 years!

+ this washing machine is overall very good and spins and washes excellently, the only little negative would be that the actual programme icons could do with being a little more defined for the different programmes ,a couple of them are so alike , you can be incline to choose the wrong programme- but it is easily rectified - cancellation only takes 2 seconds.

+ Washes well. Cycle times are good especially the rapid wash and the 30 minute was, however the 30 minute wash is only for freshening things up, it does not remove any stains.

- Spin cycle is dreadfull. At the end of every cycle I put it on spin again to try and dry it bit more. 1100 spin is not fast enough. I had a 1400 spin before and clothes dried in no time at all. Now washing takes nearly all day to dry even on a hot day and 2 days on clothes airer in the house even when put next to the radiator. I wish I had paid extra for a faster spin. I was so disappointed I tried to return the product and upgrade but as it had been used I wasn't allowed to !!! WOULD NEVER BUY ANOTHER ONE !!!!!

+ It is very quiet and the entrance to the machine is bigger than my last one, so makes it easier to load.

+ Easy to install and good instructions. Easy enough to use. Simple machine, lower end of the price range but perfect for those not wanting anything flashy or with many features, just something to do the job and do it well. The quality seems good, but time will tell about reliability. So far, so good. The energy efficiency is good and the drum size is ample for my two person household.

- On one occasion, the machine could not drain, but in order to diagnose the issue, after the cycle ceased to continue, resulted in filling the drum, and subsequently having to manually empty the drum. The first attempt was via the drain opening, behind the metal front panel. But proving futile, with flooding the floor, we resorted to opening the drum, catching the water in a bucket, then wringing the soapy wet clothes. Having completely emptied the machine, and reconnected the electricity, the machine resumed full working order and this has yet to happen again. The likely cause was not the machine itself, but our stand-pipe being shorter than the recommend length for the machine. Having said this, when the machine did malfunction, it gave a warning signal (via LEDs) and did not leak or flood of its own accord.
