Indesit DIF 04 Reviews: Built-in, 59.5cm wide, White Dishwasher

+ Great value for money, good cleaning and drying performance

- lack of a natural position for cutlery holder and non folding crockery racks

+ Interior rack design is very good, my previous machine was nearly three times the price but I couldn't get as much crockery etc. in. I connected and installed the machine myself, the instrucions were clear and easy to follow. To date very pleased, excellent value for money.

- Given the price, I can't think of anything that I could criticise.

+ its cheap. easy to set up and load.no problems.

+ Excellant dishwasher for the money - Basic but more than adequate for general day to day use. Much better than the Bosch and Hoover dishwashers that we have previously owned and cost a substantial amount more.

- Cycle slightly long but benefits far out way this very minor detail

+ It was cheap and chearful , it performs better than my old one which was dearer.

- I miss the timer , and display showing salt etc, needs topping up.

+ OVERALL GREAT DISHWASHER

- NO QUICK WASH CYCLE

+ Love the adjustable cutlery holder, makes the dishwasher much more flexible than our last one. Much quieter than the old one too. Things come out really clean.

- Seems to take an ago to finish a cycle, but then we have it runing on cheap rate electric usually so not much of a problem.

+ I choose this dishwasher mainly due to cost but after reading many reviews. It cleans alot better than our old one, is quieter and appears to be a better build for alot cheaper. Fitted easily by me. Would definitely recommend for the price.

- The only negatives that we could find is the design dosn't allow as much content as our previous one, cutlery holder takes up alot of room on the bottom shelf. Limited cycle choises (not that I would want any more).

+ Great value priced dishwasher with many cycles. It is not noisy and dishes are extremely clean after a wash

- The cycles can be a little long so stick to the eco wash, which is extremely effective and efficient

- Large gaps on bottom tray make it difficult to put mugs/small items there should you need to

- The inner gasket does not form a good seal with the dishwasher door allowing steam to escape, this is a worry as there is a risk the steam will damage the cabinet door or worktop

+ a good basic machine that does the job. Quick and easy to install, washes better than my previous machine which cost a lot more

- with the cutlery basket situated in middle of machine, it's difficult to just drop knives etc. into it when cooking without opening the door completely, just a minor point.

- Difficult to load (glasses keep falling over, cutlery rack gets in the way and is too small), you have to stand with a drying cloth when unloading as things are still wet (and yes I have fiddled with the rinse aid settings), quality of cleaning with the Eco setting is not good even though we rinse everything before it goes in to the machine. All in all I consider this a poor choice and would definitely not purchase again.

- It is noisy, the wash cycle is long & the cleaning performance isn't nearly as good as my last dishwasher.

- I would have liked a quick wash but I didn't check when purchasing the dish washer so my fault.

+ You just can't go wrong - easy to install (provided you have water and electricity available), simple to use, economy setting cleans everything brilliantly, time cycle is quite long but who cares - just set it off at bedtime! Would highly recommend.

- All cycles are long and not good for the environment. A short quick wash is needed on this machines it would cost almost nothing to add this functionality to the controller.

+ This machine is very quiet and washes really well.

- Only a couple of cycles to choose from. Loading baskets could be better thought out and the cutlery basket isn't too good for a large family.

+ The item is priced very competitively, and performs as well if not better than more expensive items available on the High Street, The control panel is extremely easy to use, and the functions are more than adequate.

- At this sort of price, there really isn't any negatives
