+ Very nicely designed printer, white is "ipod" style white and looks good on the desk; I found this very easy to configure and even my linux laptop hooked up to this printer with little fus. I love the ability to control certain printer controls from the small but bright and colour LCD screen; having memory card slots is great for easy of photo transfer. Print quality and speed are great, I print mostly 30 page sales proposals. Scanner is a real boon too.

+ Surprised how easy the setup was having read some of the reviews on the internet. Worked first time with both XP and Vista machines.

- Paper extender a little flimsy - could get broken quite easy.

+ perfect wireless printing!! easy to set up and use. Good to print the odd photo!

- had a few paper jams - but that is to be expected from HP printers. Photo printing uses too much ink - cheaper to have them developed instore

+ I am very pleased with this printer. It is easy to operate and was easy to install.

Setting up the wireless connection was not straight forward and took about an hour so time needs to be allowed for this and not expect to simply take out of box and have working in 10 minutes

- Awful and over-complicated installation software. The wireless feature was actually unusable 'out the box'. I only got it to print wirelessly from one pc after about 4 hours of research, and even then I still can't print wirelessly from our second pc. I bought this printer to replace a Dell wireless printer, because I hadn't realised that Dell print cartridges are insanely expensive (and don't seem to last very long). However, the Dell wireless feature was a very quick, easy install. I should have stuck with the Dell, even with its mad prices on print cartidges.

+ The printer is good but the wireless capability has already gone wrong- saying that there are different STID details but not telling me how to rectify this.
I therefore have to have a USB connection to print.
Also, paper jams quite frequently and although there are directions to un-jam it, I found I could not open the rear of the printer where it told me to. I admit I resorted to fiddling with it around the front and getting the paper out- it was the only way to do it.
The printing quality is good but the set-up is over fiddly and cumbersome.

+ Set up was easy. WiFi connection is an added bonus... print from anywhere in your home or office. Print quality is better than expected... Photo's look great. Also looks nice in it's white glossy finish!!!

+ Quite easy to set up, the wireless function is great as it means no extra trailing wires behind the computer. A nice printer, not too big considering what it packs in and surprisingly lightweight.

+ Very good printer. Pleased with the quality of everything I have printed so far - which are letters and photographs. Great software too. Have scanned documents to be saved and also to be emailed. These operations worked very well indeed. Excellent value for money.

- The ink seems to be going down quite quickly, but then my last printer ate up the ink too! I had trouble loading the software due to my firewall and anti-virus being so efficient. However I had a tip from a friend to download the software from the HP site itself after disabling the firewall and anti-virus and now all works perfectly.
