- Hotpoint sfter sales service,the washer made holes in my clothes,I was told by the repair man that the product is cheaply made and there are no smooth edges around the outside of the drum,so therefore if you use a high spin then the clothes go through the holes and get caught on the rough edges of the machine,thus causing holes to appear,great!why is there a high spin if you cant use it!my machine also smells of mould,the seal on the door gets mouldy and the soap dispenser,I was advised to do a service wash,and add a product they supply for ,guess what, yes £10! have cleaned it out and it still smells,will call again.so am not happy,but am stuck with this machine ,will not but another hotpoint.

+ Large drum able to take 7kg makes washing bedding and towels easy. And the empty now button is wonderful.

- Unlike the older machines the selector of wash dosnt move so when the cyle has finished it is easy for someone to start the wash again by brushing against the machine.

+ The good popints are that the machine is very quiet and it does not take as long as my old machine to finish a full wash. It also has a huge capacity allowing me to get more laundry washed than ith my previous machine.

+ It removes stains very well and the washing is almost dry when it is finished.

- The noise and vibration is not acceptable, especially if you live in a flat.

+ Huge leap forward in performance since my last machine ... significantly quieter too. Fast wash programmes really are fast, and with no discernible drop in cleaning standards! 1400rpm spin means much shorter dry times. Huge load capacity. And at a bargain price, frankly - why pay almost twice as much for a Zanussi with smaller tub and lower spin speed?

- Apart from the two fast wash programmes, wash times are longer than I was used to ... but it doesn't take a genius to get used to planning your wash around that extra 15 minute wait. Plus the huge drum means you can probably fit more 'stuff' in on each load anyway.

+ I like the size of the wash drum.It also gets my washing cleaner than my last machine did I also like the fact that it has a choice of spin speeds .When the weather is wet I can chose a faster spin so the washing does not hang around in doors. I would recomend this washing mashine.
