Hotpoint WT540 reviews: Front Loading loading, 6kg capacity washing machine

+ It does the washing

- Makes a bit of noise when it spens

+ Sure is an A rated machine. Cleans really well. You have control of not only cycle but also water temperature and spin speed. Should have replaced my old machine a lot sooner!

- The only criticism I have is the noise level. However, it is a new machine and probably takes a while to get use to the different sound. Come to think of it, my other machine was on a piece of carpet!

+ its so much better than having to take the washing to my mother in laws house after my one packed in. Especialy because some clothes came back stinking of cigarette smoke and we had to sneak them back when she wasnt looking and re-do them. And she doesnt believe in washing anything over 40, even towels!!!!!!!!

+ The size of the drum is really useful, and it has all the standard programmes as well as a half load which is great.

- It is not as quiet as i though it was going to be and when it is on the fastest spin cyle it shakes the whole house but that could be because I have an old house

For not a lot of money, good value.

- If the motor blows up in the next Five years,then I shall remember this product as not One of the best I have bought. Products in the past, Hoover, One Blown motor under Guarantee, Three more motors out of Guarantee.
Will not buy this product again. Beko One blown motor in Five Years, will not buy this product again. We are Three adults living here, I seem to think that a washing machine should last longer than Five Years.
If this One does not, then it will be One more product we shall not buy again.

+ Easy to use. Shows where the cycle is up to. The manual gives you estimated times of cycle which are accurate. Have enjoyed using it.

- It is quite noisy on the spin cycle. You can quite easily start the machine by just brushing past the buttons. Quite annoying if your washing has just finished and then starts all over again.

+ Nice design, great price, does what it's supposed to. Nothing fancy but good results.

+ I bought this washing machine because of the load size 7kg. Although I do not have a load this full. there are good programme choices & the cycle times are economical. The instruction book is easy to understand & hassle free

- This is possibly the worst vacuum cleaner I have ever owned. I have persevered with it for long enough and will be purchasing an alternative in the near future.

+ Fast wash option is just as effective as the full cycle on normal washing. I have two young children but can still wash everything on a fast cycle max 60 degrees and it comes out beautifully clean. Great for me and the environment.

+ Super wash - love it gets clothes really clean. Quick wash great for the lightly soiled items. The range of washes, temperatures and spins - everything is so variable - no restrictions as to how you wash and for how long.

- Have not found any yet but we shall see how long the machine lasts

+ I like the varied programmes - many energy saving like the fast wash and that the machine offers a very hot wash and also a super wash programme. It is very quiet even on the final spin and the large 7kg load capacity means I can save up my washing for longer!

+ Compared with my old machine, this one is great. I didn't realise just how much washing machines had improved. I'm very pleased with my 1400 7kg Aquarius; it holds a good family wash and there is this wonderful "quick wash" facility; and it really is quick, too. And so silent. Good value for money.

- none really . The only point (which applies to all machines I guess) is that it is rather heavy and not too easy to slide under a work-top if there is only an inch to spare. (But once in, no problem)

+ Has a 7kg load which is great for a family. It washes really well and it has a 1400 spin which reduces the drying time. Also has a fast wash and a hand wash setting, it has all the functions you would need. It was also fairly cheap, I just hope it lasts!!

- It has a traditional dial setting (ie no push button technology) and does not beep when it has finished a cycle. However, I quite like this about the machine!!
