Hotpoint WF541 reviews: Front Loading loading, 6kg capacity washing machine

+ The Hotpoint WF541G washing machine is so easy to use. I have no problems with an uneven load by occasionally washing only 1 or 2 items (my old machine would not spin fast with less than 3 items). There are plenty of choices to make regarding temperature and spin options.

- The only bad point I can think of is that the wash cycle can take over an hour. When you only have a small wash, this can be a little frustrating sometimes.

+ my old machine was 15 years old so things have moved on but this is a quiet efficient machine. 30 degree wash quite effective

+ Easy to use. good range of programs plus you can alter them to your own requirements.Quiet, looks good, efficient. Good load capacity. Wash's well, washing always comes out clean. Very efficient spin, clothes come out quite dry.

- Not keen on the soap/conditioner draw, dont feel it works too well with liquid soap, & that the conditioner seems to run straight into the wash, not sure it goes in on the rinse cycle.

+ A great washer with fast cycle times and very easy to use. All the family can now use this easily.

+ The fast wash is great for energy saving and the whole cylcle is so quiet even on the 1400 spin.

+ Overall a good value machine with a decent spin speed (clothes come out dryer) and some useful extra modes, such as wool hand wash.

- Not sure about the build quality, when shutting the door it doesn't have a solid feel and sometimes the machine won't register the door is locked correctly so you have to re-shut it.

+ A great machine that is used at least once a day sometimes more. Never had any problems.

- if i could i would have shorter programs for 30-40mins not an hour, this machine does not have a program for 30min with 40 degrees, and this program would be very usefull.

- i dont like the way the door closes. it has a harsh click noise as if something could break. it seems to take a bit longer than usual for the door to become unlocked.

+ we find this machine very easy to use and is not to noisy whilst on a fast spin.

- nothing to bad but the on/off button and start button feel a bit loose as if they are about to fall off.

+ Not the most expensive machine in the Hotpiont range.

- Had engineers's out twice in five weeks since purchased machine, same fault both times - seal catching on drum, causing pieces of rubber to be found in washing and around seal.

+ Quiet an easy to use. also nice to have a bigger volume of washing.

- It seems to be getting noisier after each wash and may need an enginner to look at it and it is only a couple of montha old.

- Excessive noise when spinning, i initially reported a fault but the engineer checked the machine and told me that it was o.k. I have never had a washing machine that makes this much noise so therefore i would not recommend to anyone

+ Extremely simple controls, great spin, plenty of combinations and buttons which I have still yet to investigate! My old washing machine had a hot and cold pipe at the back - this just has one, and there is no stinky filter to clean as it's done automatically. I really like it!

+ I have always had Hotpoint washing machines so really have no point of comparison, but they have all been reliable and value for money with very little in the way of on-going maintenance. Hence I come back to them when the need arises to find a replacement.

+ The overall look of the machine is good in fact matches my existing tumble drier, from other reviews I read I was expecting it be noisey, but in fact is the quietist machine I have had, certainly can't hear it through the wall like I could the others. It has a large drum which cuts down on the amount of loads I need to do, also being able to change the temperature and spin speed is a great advantage. The cost was very reasonable to.

+ The temperature can be changed and so the temperature of a cycle can be lowered. There are a number of options such as gentle, fast, and wool options.

- It has a mini load option, but you cannot use it on every cycle. It is very noisy. Most of the cycles are very long.

+ the wash cycle will hold 6kg it also as a mini load setting which i find very useful theres no waste of electric and compared to my old washing machine its very quiet.
