+ I am very happy with this washing machine. Cold fill is good because the combi boiler does not now have to fire up unnecessarily. My old machine was hot and cold fill and by the time the water had got from the boiler to the washing machine the machine has the required amount of cold water anyway. The door size is excellent and I particularly like the way the soap dispenser opens. Programmes are easy to understand and this machine, having made quite sure it was level, is very quiet when spinning and the 1200 spin brings towels out damp but not wet. It washes exceptionally well and has given my towels a new lease of life.
- I do not have any bad remarks to make about this product; washing has become a pleasure once again.

+ It's a good all-round machine. It washes well and it's not too noisy.
- Two small criticisms, cycle times are longer than my old machine, and second, once a cycle has started the machine has to run through the entire cycle. There doesn't appear to be a way of stopping the machine and removing any items that were mistakenly put in.

+ i had my last hotpoint for 9 yrs and this is an excellent replacement. looks realy nice with a large door realy easy to use and gets my clothes nice and clean and spins them well too.

+ Set programs are helpful but you can also set the program manually (temp, spin etc). There is a 30 degree wash and a cycle for dry clean only garments. Garments come out very dry as a result of the good spin. The machine is only connected to cold water as machine heats water or you can opt for a cold wash which is enviromentally friendly.
- Only that I haven't got one earlier

+ nice slick door design. Quiet in operation. You can choose a low temp to wash at or even a cold wash if you use washing liquid and not powder (doesn't dissolve) - saves money.
- can be a bit confusing what program to choose, as i just like things simple.....i just want to wash everythin at 40 degrees in as quick a time as possible. I don't want all these program choices!!

The machine is really easy to use, all the programs are fully explained within the instruction manual. It is a good size that fits nicely into its space.
In this life you get what you pay for but with this machine you get more, so far i am very happy with my purchase.
- My only disapointment with this machine is that it does not have a timer display to see how long the program has to run but this is compensated by cycle indicator lights so you can roughly judge the time anyway. The sound of the machine pumping the water annoys me but i suppose you would get this with other machines as well.

Lots of programmes (some people may view this as a good point but it's taking some getting used to!)
Makes a whiring sound but following engineer visit have been told this is due to rubber seal and need to put washer on a few 90degree washes (so much for saving the environment)

+ lovely machine, easy to use ,great options for spin speeds.
- you can easily nudge the button and it bwill start the cycle again! Cold wash cycle only does half the maximum weight of laundry.

+ User friendly, I like the sideways opening powder/detergent dispenser - more control = less spillage. The menu/instructions display and dials are nice and clear. The drum is a good size for washing for a household of 2-3.
- The door is starting to stick a little and I've not had it that long. The 1200 speed is good, anything less leaves clothes sopping wet though it might be more suitable for light delicates.

+ Nice to look at. Easy to use buttons, not too much technology! Fast wash and Eco cycles are useful for laundry that just needs freshening up. Can change choice of temperature and spin speed for most programmes.
- Chugging noise, but not too loud. Buttons for spin speed and temperature could be clearer marked as you have to feel for the raised part of the switch.

- Pump is quite noisy. Buttons and dials are easy to knock against causing a change to or pausing the cycle.
