Found it difficult to alter the door hinges so it opens the other way but that may have been us!

- The door squeaks on and off for no apparent reason. The freezer isn't as big as it seems and we're getting less in there than we thought we would. Don't buy if there are more than 2 of you!

+ One of the few units sold with a 50/50 split between fridge and freezer. Bought at a good price in comparison to other models and those sold by other retailers.

- The ice trays are inadequate and badly designed. The freezer capacity is not that good but just about adequate.

- Not enough shelves and room in fridge. Freezer drawers have not enough depth and the ice trays in the drawer doors are absolutely useless. My prevoius Hotpoint was 9cubit and was far better I wish I could have had another like it. Very disappointed.

- sticky label that was on the front of the fridge has left a black mark which won't come off! recommend easy peel labels!!!!

+ It fits into the gap we have in the kitchen!! We had the old version of this fridge freezer and this one seem to fit a lot more in than our old one. It also was reasonably priced and affordable. It has a fast freeze option which we clicked into action once we switched it on which meant we did not have to wait too long for things to be nice and cold.

- It does not come with a wine rack inside which would be nice to have. The design is a bit basic. We really like the retro (smeg) fridges but they would not fit in the space we had (65cm) It would be nice to see Hotpoint have more choice at the 65cm size. We didn't really have much choice but to buy this one!!

+ Needed a compact fridge freezer so that we could also squeeze a Hotpoint slimline dishwasher into our kitchen. This certainly fits the bill. The design and operation of the fridge freezer are perfect. It's excellent quality, robust and very quiet. I would definitely recommend it.

- The suction of the doors is very strong so you need some muscles to open them. This can't be a bad thing though!

+ The Hotpoint RFA52P Fridge/freezer is perfect for what I wanted, slimline to fit in a space in my kitchen.

- The only draw back I found was that the two shelves in the fridge part didn't have the manoeuvrability that I would have liked, but otherwise top marks.

+ It is stylish without being too intrusive. It is quiet and has the added bonus of "A" energy grading.

- The ice trays are a little tricky!

+ I am very pleased with this product,it compares very well with other fridge freezers of this size,it is very quiet and has excellent door seals, one of the features i was looking for.

- it's a monolithic fridge freezer really - if you don't want one that looks like this then put your hand deeper in your pocket and splash out another couple of grand on a SMEG!

+ It's slim design fits well in my kitchen. I like four trays in the freezer. So far it's very silent - you can't hear it.

- The design of the butter dish and egg trays could be improved. The butter dish has a lid and the whole dish sits in a tray with a lid so you have to lift the first lid, then, if you are a short person ( me !) you have to remove the whole butter dish - this is because I use it for storage - the butter for day to day use is kept out of the fridge otherwise it doesn't spread. I received two little plastic hook things with a diagram that they should fit onto the back metal grid of the fridge - I still can't work it out
