Hotpoint LFS114 Reviews: Built-in, 59.5cm wide, White Dishwasher

+ Can be connected to either the hot or cold fill hoses and the rear feet can be adjusted from the front of the appliance making levelling it easy. It has a much better build quality than our previous Philip Whirlpool machine with fewer sharp edges to cut your fingers on during its installation. It cleans exceptionally well and has an electronic salt level indicator that is more helpful than looking into the machine for the level of float to indicate salt levels. Cutlery tray separates all items of cutlery preventing drip residues.

- The length of wash cycle time is long for both the intermediate and the heavy duty wash cycles e.g. over 2 hours.
The bottom tray easily falls off its runners when being pulled out or pushed in. Top basket wine holder restricts height of mugs that can be washed in basket.

+ Very easy to load, especially lower tray, very quiet, great value for money.

- The drying cycle could be improved as some dishes are slightly wet when cycle finished.

- design of loading trays means that smaller items are not easily fitted on bottom shelf as they fall through the large gaps in the cage. The top shelf has flaps which allow longer items such as carving knives and cooking utensils to be placed seperately however this design prevents anything of any size being placed in the main cage underneath the flap, when lifting the flap up out of the way to enable the placement of larger objects the the cage snags on the top of the dishwasher when pushed back into place. We ended up removing the flaps as they were more of an inconvenience than an assett.

- The 'installation by numbers. sheet was almost incomprehensible. The only indication that the rear was height adjustable was in the book which I did not read until installation was complete.
