1) Electronic push-button controls.
2) Choice of two heights for top basket.
3) Takes full 2kg bag of salt in one go.
-
1) The default program is not the "normal" cycle, requiring an extra button press for the most frequently used wash.
2) Drying performance is 'B' rated - not too bad, but you tend to have to put some things on your draining board when emptying it.
3) The cap for the salt filler is very close to the edge, so if it's been fitted very tightly, it can be hard to remove, as access it not that good.
4) The handle on the filter unit makes it hard to see if it needs cleaning. (The handle should have been further back.)
5) The door feels a bit flimsy and a lot of heat seems to escape during drying.

To easy to start the wrong cycle and not be able to stop it. Low salt indicator stayed on for 1st 4 cycles. hotpoint customer services said this is common and not a problem but this should be stated in the manual.

Not available in "almond" to match my other Hotpoint appliances. The installation instructions said "Indesit". Does this imply that this model has been rebadged by Hotpoint? The utensil basket housing is fixed in the bottom tray so you can't move it around at will. This cuts down on available space unless you remove the utensil basket when the need arises. Similarly the top tray is badly designed. Tall glasses fall over and the wine glass support is unnecessarily complex. The machine stands proud of my work surface by about 3" compared to the previous model which was flush. It is markedly noisier than its predecessor.

hardly any bad points. can only fit one pan in at a time if other dishes in there. stemmed glasses fall off the holders, and not much room 'up top' but when buying a slimline dishwasher I expected this

This is my first dishwasher so I do not have anything to compare to, however I have no complaints at all, I love it! You can hear some noise during the wash cycle however it's definately quieter than my washing machine. It's really easy to use, just power on and then press one button to cycle through the programmes. Have only used the Fast & Dry cycle and the 45% normal cycle as these clean everything first time at the lowest temperature.
-
The bad point, and this goes for all compact machines, is how much you can fit in. As there is only 2 of us I thought a compact machine would be plenty but once you get a couple of pans in there's not much room. I struggle a bit with the wok and large baking sheets. Although this is a great machine my advice would be to get a full size machine if you can find the space for it, as it's surprising how quickly it fills up.

By comparison with my previous dishwasher (an Ariston Advantage) to which it is almost identical (except for the programming function) loading of larger plates is not easy and the support for the cutlery rack is poorly designed. By and large it does what it is supposed to do, though with a little more effort on behalf of the design team it could have been excellent as opposed to average.

small -takes up very little space, but still deals with 9 place settings. Not noisy when running - so far it's great. Did everything I wanted it to over Christmas.

Good, easy to use slimline dishwasher.

Cutlery basket, does not wedge between anything so it topples over if not loaded evenly.

Needed more space in kitchen - so fits in neatly. Two in household so full size not necessary. Quick, quiet and efficient. Competitive price and easy to use.
-
Dificult to place large wine glasses. Otherwise very satisfied.

Easy to use. Good results. Much quieter than the machine it replaced. It looks good.
