+ Cold fill only but gives access to A rating when using liquid detergents for cold wash

- Very soiled clothes will require the water to be heated in the washing machine as only a cold fill

+ First new machine for over a decade and did seem a generation or two removed from the last one. Neat, reasonably quiet and working well.

- Over complicated programme settings, how many dials and buttons do you need given each programme has recommended settings for each. Takes it's time. Door where you put the detergent, given the way it opens there is a fairly good chance I'll pull it off at some point.

+ Great product, particularly the choice of programmes.

- The quick wash function is just a cold wash, which wasn't explained beforehand. The fast wash isn't that fast - 1 hour. The instruction booklet was from a different model so not very helpful.

It doesnt get the clothes nearly as dry as I expected a 1600 spin to do. I often have to do and extra spin.
The noise is unbelievable.
I was persuaded to buy this and the price was good but NEVER again will I compromise money over quality.

- Doesn't seem to rinse as well as my other machines. I have had to choose liquid soap in the drum rather than powder in the dispenser as especially on black clothes, powder has left a residue and I have had to re rinse by hand. The average cycle is rather long.

+ Lots of features, inc half wash on lots of cycles, reduce crease, shirts cycle. Easy instrucions, good cycle times and low noise.

+ This is a good all round machine with a fast spin speed. I love the fact that you can make any wash a cold wash. Feel it is value for money.

+ Lots of features, able to personalise wash times, temperature, spin speed. The 60 minute wash cycle good, also the 30 minute cold wash for freshening up clothes good. Good clean wash (even when the washing liquid wasn't added!!) Wash cycle very quiet. Had the machine about two months.

- Final spin surprisingly noisey for a new machine. Sometimes louder than others, I think it must depend upon the load.

+ I have always had Hotpoint washing machines - this is the third one I have owned in 34 years. I am hoping that WML560P will as reliable as the other two I have had in the past. So far I am very please with my purchase. It is very quiet with a good choice of programmes and the washing comes out very clean.

- I have to refer to the book to see which spin speed the program numbers relate to as you can not choose the spin speed on all programmes.

+ 1600 spin is excellent. You can also lower the temperature of the wash instead of using the pre-set one. Makes very little noise and door opens 180 degrees.

- Can only use half load on a couple of cycles, and they are not the shorter programmes. The 30 minute wash is a cold one, so I mainly use the next shortest programme which is the 1 hour (!) quick wash, but you can use temps upto 50 degrees on it, so its quite effective.

+ It is very quiet, even when spinning. The clothes come out almost dry after the spin cycle. Washes everything clean!

+ This machine is very quiet compared to my last Hotpoint, its easy to use.

- Haven't found any yet, except the wash cycles take too long because it only takes cold water adding another half hour compared to my old machine. My old machine took one hour and this one takes one and a half.
