- Noisy, the spin is so fast it seems to be taking off. Shakes my small apartment and probably annoys the people downstairs as I run my washed in the night. No proper countdown, Quick wash takes well over 30mins. No indication in instructions when to put conditioner, so I put it in the beginning which is probably wrong.

- it broke down after 11 days and had to wait 9 days for an engineer to fix the problem and i was even more shocked when he informed me that the part which was faulty was like a light bulb and could last 20 years or in my case 11 days!!!!!!!!!!!!

- No delay timer, which would be useful due to rising energy costs. No cycle count-down timer.

+ The Hotpoint is value for money as it is easy to use, no hassle and quick to pick up the diffrent features. The diffrent wash cycles are easy to chose and follow on the machine. The Eco cycles are very energy and water efficient.

+ All appear to be O.K. but the washer replaced another Hotpoint which seemed easier to use (By my wife) that one lasted for over 15 years. It is still in good order but needs a new front seal which I am seeing to. this one is better with more facilities which I am sure she will like better when she gets used to it.

- None so far. Surprised there was only one connecting water pipe instead of a hot and cold.

+ Overall very pleased, looks very nice, I like the pause button. Very easy to use, instruction manual very easy to follow. The drum size is excellent as are the spin speeds.

- The noise, it was very quiet at first, but seems to have got louder over time. The cycle times are very long. The dispenser drawer is unable to come out to clean it and is not user friendly, not easy to use at all, that is the biggest issue with this machine and I would certainly look for the traditional dispenser drawer next time I purchase a machine, but saying all the above, the machine is far far better than my previous Bosch machine, which cost far more money .

+ Looks good, Trusted brand, great different time cycles with the option to control the machine speed from 1400 to much lower speeds also you can adjust the temp to what you want. Easy to use, It makes no more noise than any other washing machine so don't be put off with that, I find it quieter than my old hotpoint machine.

The quick wash cycle..no13 is great to refresh clothes that are not really dirty and only takes 30mins.

- For a new machine it tends to be very noisy

+ This is a great washing machine, the drum size is big, it's very quiet, there is a good 60 min wash. Also with it being an Aquarius it only fills up with the water it needs according to how much washing you put in which is great when your on a water metre!!

- This isn't really a bad point but on my old machine there used to be a 30 min quick wash cycle which gets anything clean. The 30 min cycle on this machine only uses cold water so it not so good on whites or really dirty clothes, which when you have an 18 month old who loves playing in the dirt is not so great, but you can give them a quick rinse in the sink first.

+ GOOD = standard wachine machine at a good price

- BAD = far too many options for a simple family. My wife is exclusive user of the wachine machine, and she wants two, maybe three at most, wash/spin options. What she gets is a huge range of dials and settings. She still only uses two. Keep it simple please.

+ Really easy to use. The cycle times are great especially on No.13 the echo wash.(you do need to give it an extra spin if you require the clothes to be drier, this still makes the time quicker than the quickest cycle available).
A terrific machine I am really pleased with it and would reccomend it to anyone.
