+ Very easy to use and very quiet. We've had Hotpoints before and we'd have them again.

- Some of the cycle times do seem a bit long but we tend to stick to the shorter ones anyway.

- the only complaint is when washing on a quick wash it sometimes doesn't rinse too well

+ The drum size is huge! Easy to use, lots of different cycles. Spin cycle is very quiet, and clothes come out almost dry.

- Some of the wash cycles are very long, however for normal washing the quick wash cycle seems to be fine.

+ Have always bought Hotpoint over the years as products have been consistently good. This one is no exception and seems to do a better job of washing than earlier models. Once set up (language etc.) it is fairly simple to use and the fact it recalls the previous setting is useful, as most of the time only one programme is used.

- Cycles take a fair bit more time than on previous machine (1994 Aquarius) but this is probably why the quality of the wash is improved.

+ Very quiet, One of the features is a child lock button which when you press and hold for about two seconds it
locks all the buttons so you cannot accidently lean against the machine and mess up the cycle. A great digital information panel which shows you all the info on what wash cycle you are using,water tempature and how long the program has to run.

+ The drum size, spin capability and ease of use are all fantastic.

- The cotton cycles start at 2 hours 30 minutes, but it goes on at night and all done and dusted for the morning.

+ It is very easy to use and versatile in allowing one to change temperature and spin speed on set programmes.

- Bought it for spin speed and weight of load but ONLY ONE programme (which is too long for my purposes) actually does an 8kg load and 16k spin.
The shorter 1hr wash only takes 3kg AND although it says it spins at 16K it definately DOES NOT. The wash is much wetter than if I use the 16K spin programme separately. The drum is smaller than my previous 7.5kg machine

+ Surprisingly very quiet even when spinning at 1600 rpm, with a good size drum for larger than usual loads.

+ Very quiet and compact. child lock is great with a 20 months old.

- some washing has not been cleaned properly. I had to reduce the loads despite the big drum size. but it might be that I still have t learn how to use it properly.

+ Very easy to use once you have tried all the cycles, extremely quiet when spinning, energy saving options, half load, huge drum, this the best washing machine I have ever had. Lets you know when the cycle has come to an end with a couple of bleeps and 2 knocks-sound of it unlocking. Delay start so you can set to come on during the night when energy is cheaper. Overall an excellent machine.

+ Good name with a good energy efficiency - gives you an easy way to reduce temperature, spin, etc. Looks good and ease of use. Like the time delay.

- Couldn't afford the washer/dryer version, not that it's particularly environmentally friendly to use a dryer.

- Noise on pump after pumping out. Not very good to move as there are 4 adjustable feet and the washer is heavy.

Child lock is very useful, but turns itself off when wash cycle is finished which to me is ridiculous - my child can't change the programme whilst it's running but can open the door when finished and drag my clean washing all over the floor ! Very bad design fault. Child lock should stay on until it is physically turned off.

+ love the size of the drum, I have a lot of heavily soiled work clothes ( husband is a push bike courier), it is just soo quiet, the LED is fantastic for first time use, and the cherry on the cake is that it is plug and play... just easy.
