- The powder draw is a little difficult as it is curved. It doesn't show the wash cycles as they are shown on cloths ie 40 with a line under it What is this!!

I can delay the start of washing until, say, 6 am and then put it straight on the line to dry when I get up.

+ Smart looking (for a washing machine!), very quiet in operation and seemingly most energy efficient. Timer delay for off-peak electricity useage (roughly 25% of daytime tarriff). Hotpoint reliability ?? We'll see -- time will tell....

+ Easy to use and very quiet. The drum takes a lot of washing and the build quality seems good so far. Toyed with the idea of fixing old washer but I'm glad I didn't as this new one is far far better.

+ The capacity is great. The noise level is wonderful. the colour is good. Variety of programmes is very good

- Over sensitive to overload! When I first had the machine it would keep spinning on the last minute. one min suddenly became 10 mins!

+ Choice of spins and temperature settings makes this washing machine very versatile to use. Also as about to have a new born baby the fact that there is child lock on this machine gives us peace of mind.

I think it's a very quiet machine and clothes are very dry at the end of the spin. Hardly need drying.

+ Large drum size - you can get a lot of washing in. There's a good choice of wash cycles and it's very easy to use, even for me and I'm a man! The product is well designed and look stylish.

+ The machine looks very stylish and is easy to use, with the digital display being easy to follow. I have also found it to be very quiet whilst spinning. Once the cycle is complete there is a bleep to say it has finished, which is also very useful. All round a very good machine.

- It would be useful if there was a cycle for Whites, like there is for Coloureds.

+ Lots of different programmes, you can change the spin and temperature manually. There is also a half load option and an eco wash which make it more energy efficient. Most importantly it has a child lock on it, this is a must with an eleven month old toddler !!

- After a quick wash you need to spin thicker clothes as the are still quite wet once the cycle is done.

+ Compact and excellent cycle choices..great colour in black.

+ Absolutely fab! Great drum size 8kg - can now do equivalent of 2 loads in 1 - save time! Delay timer's great - used during cheap rate - very quiet too.

- None to date. Although I read in some reviews about the noise at top spin, and cycle time - doesn't bother me (use during night so don't notice that much, if used during daytime - use fast cycle and reduce temp and all's done under 1hr).

+ this is a fantastic washing machine, it has a large or small wash load, it is very easy to use i like the hotpoint brands, it s realy good on energy efficiency too. im a very happy mam doing her laundery.

- Cycle times are a great disappointment. Apart from the fast wash (30 mins) which only works on a 30% wash the other cycle times are way to long. I wasn't really aware of that when I bought it. I once used the cycle for bed linen and it took about 2.5 hours or something similar. I usually do a few loads together and don't have time for the long cycles so I have to do most of my washing on the fast but lower temperature cycle.
