+ it's easy to use
- you cannot see that the gas is alight, because of the white colour

+ very sturdy, especially compared to the alternatives on the market. fits flush to the wall and the drawer is a god-send for storing spare oven trays. The glass door makes checking on the progress of a dish easy without letting in cold air. The grill is a good size and easy to clean.
- The controls. Whichever idiot decided to make the marks for setting of the oven temperature so close together and to leave out 6 [ a much used number] obviously does no cooking. It is pure guess work, the space between the high settings is so small. I am struggling to get used to it and burn stuff or find it takes ages to cook.!

Small but perfectly formed, Hotpoint’s 50cm cookers are ideal if space is limited in the kitchen.
