Hotpoint Quadrio FF4DK Reviews: Frost Free, American, Multi fridge freezer

+ plenty of space in fridge and the freezer is great very quick to freeze newly placed food etc.the design on the whole is brilliant fits in nicely and looks fantastic i have recommended it to all my family and friends.

- none that i can think of at present i am entirely pleased with it,thankyou.

+ The fridge capacity is excellent and size of unit overall is excellent. Not too large like some american fridges can be. Fits the kitchen perfectly.

- Freezer capacity is not brilliant as you cannot block the holes inside the draws so does not fit as much in as you would think.

+ Fridge capacity is quite good, and it does look nice, somewhat compatible with retro or modern. It's too early to know whether it is economical to run.

- The drawers are a pain in the neck. They don't hold an awful lot, and it has to be very carefully packed to avoid jamming or falling down the back when the drawers are opened. The ice dispenser hangs down into the space of the top drawer so you really can't put anything much in that side or it jams. There is a loose tray that sits inside the top drawer, which presumably is meant to help you stratify the contents for easier access, but what actually happens is, when you try to slide or lift the top tray to reach what's underneath, things slide out of it and fall down the back of the drawer so you have to contort yourself to get them out again or the drawer won't close. The doors are a high gloss finish, but the sides are more matt, which detracts from it's style, like white kitchen carcasses with wooden doors.

- Noisy, compressor seems to run almost constantly. More freezer room would have been nice.

+ Plenty of space in the fridge compartment. We decided to take on of the shelves out of the door so we could keep larger objects in the door. Love the design, we went for the black one, which stands out lovely in out white high gloss kitchen. Not too noisy either

- Noticed that it is constantly running, but this maybe down to the temp in the kitchen. Its not noisy or intrusive in anyway so doesnt cause a problem Shelf arrangement in the freezer is a bit pointless but we are working with it.

+ looks the business. couldnt fit an american f.freezer in kitchen but this looks just as good. lots of room in fridge easy to clean , alarms if you leave doors open too long . No defrosting.

- not really bad points but didnt need bottle shelf so took it out and have more room for food.freezer not as big as i was used to but have now got used to what i can fit in there.

+ Capacity is good and it is easy to get to everything quickly. I particularly like the freezer draws, open and use, no doors and then draws .. great!

- Only one fault that is very annoying, the can dispenser in the small door needs to be redesigned, the cans fall out due to the bottom retaining lip being too low, we end up not using it and the space is wasted.

+ OVERALL ITS A GOOD PRODUCT, NO REAL PROBLEMS JUST A FEW DESIGN FAULTS. BUT IT SUITS MY FAMILY JUST FINE.

- THE CAN HOLDER INSIDE THE DOOR IS A PAIN AS IT DOESN'T HOLD THE CANS SECURELY AND TEND TO FALL ON YOUR FEET AS THE DOOR IS OPENED. ONCE YOU HAVE HAD THREE OR MORE CANS DROP ON YOUR TOES THE CAN HOLDER DOESN'T GET USED AGAIN SO THE SPACE IT TAKES IS WASTED AND COULD BE PUT TO BETTER USE. ALSO ITS VERY DIFFICULT TO GET THE WHOLE FRIDGE FREEZER BALANCED PROPERLY AS THE LEVELING FEET WILL ONLY ALTER THE BALANCE JUST SO FAR AND NO MORE. MORE LEEWAY IS NEEDED HERE.

- My only grip is that the handles (silver plastic) don't match very too well with the body of the fridge (stainless/ brushed steel).

+ We were looking for a big fridge and reasonable sized freezer that looks good too. It fitted all the criteria. The freezer is a good size and I like the drawer action.

- Had to remove the can dispenser. The shelves in the door are useful but an odd size. it would be better without the ice making bit.

+ It's handy to have two doors - you don't always need to open both although it would have been better to have the can holder on the right. I think it looks cool but some friends have asked why black, why big - it's a personal thing. I love the ice maker and the drawers.

+ The design is very sleek and eveyone who has came in since we bought it has commented on how much they like it. At first the fridge didnt look as big as I imagined but once you start filling it you soon notice the difference. The fridge drawers are very deep and are excellent for storing fruit and veg without it being crammed in which is a huge plus compared to my last fridge. Overall I love this fridge freezer, it gives storage without taking up the space of many side by side american models and is definately an eye catcher.

- If you usually freeze lots of food or buy already frozen food then this fridge freezer probably isnt for you as the freezer space is not that big compared to some classic design appliances. For me it is a reasonable size for what I need. And the kids love the ice tray and having constant ice cubes to put in their drinks!! Not sure the wine rack is all that useful and we have opted to take it out which makes more space, also the can holder in the door would have been better as another shelf or a shelf included to swap as required.

- the sliding draw inside the dig draw somtimes sticks. the ice cubes don`t always come out the tray. personally, would make the wine rack large enought to take pop pobbles rather that wine, we use more pop.

- The outside of the doors mark and smear so easily that you are forever cleaning them.

+ Fridge is nice and big better than I first thought it would be, has nice deep shelves and the door space is good aswell, the right hand door space will take two 4 pint cartons of milk easily, drawers for salad and vegetables are spacious.

- Freezer space is a little smaller than I first imagined, you lose a bit of room at the top under the ice tray, saying that the tray is brilliant and even though when you try and get the ice out of the tray the twisting action you have to do feels like its going to break but has not so far.

+ I love everything about it, It looks fab, Its big and theres still always more room. Frezzers alot better than my old one easy accsess to all my food. Lots of sheleves and compartments in the fridge. Could'nt ask for more. Def reccomend it.

- The only annoying thing I've found is if the door on the fridge if left open for a while it beeps and you cant stop it beeping. (annoying when putting the shopping away) That is the only bad thing I've found. I love it.

Freezer drawers are also more practical than freezer shelf I have previously had.

- Hard to think of although perhaps the freezer area holds slightly less than I had hoped. Nevertheless, still a fair bit of room within the two drawers.

+ Very attractive looking, very good storage in fridge area.

- The freezer drawers often stick and wont slide if you store too much in them, therefore restricting the amount of food you can purchase for freezing at any one time.

Love the fact that you do not have to open both of the fridge doors together and that there is plenty of storage.
The freezer compartments with the drawer sections are easy to open and that you can see what is in the freezer easily.

- No bad points but l wouldnt say that the freezer section is suitable for a large family, as l do have another freezer in the house.

+ This is a very stylish and unique freidge freezer, so well done to hotpoint for been abit more adverse with the design. although through no fault of their own, it is difficult to fit the fridge through your front door unless you have a porch or a rear entrance. The fridge has plenty of room in the fridge and ample space in the freezer.

- The freezer is slightler smaller than i expected, although it still has ample space. And it could do with a water dispenser, but still quite content with the fridge freezer and happy enough to recommend

- The ice tray doesn't empty easily & the freezer drawers have to be filled carefully or the contents can stop them closing, but overall i like it a lot.
Quite a tall allpiance...so if you're short you'll need a step up for the top shelf.
