+ This is my first dishwasher. it is fantastic, i can keep my kitchen clean and tidy now with very little effort. I set the machine away through the night and take advantage of the half price electricity. I could not live without it now no more sinks full of greasy washing up water fantastic.

- Only used it on the eco setting so far, not sure how long it takes to do a wash exactly but it must be over 90 minutes, but everything in there is clean so not sure this is a real problem.

+ We purchased this machine replacing a 10 year old Hotpoint, the new machine is a 100% improvement on the old machine. everything about it is excellent. The way it cleans even the most burnt on food such as caserole dishes is just amazing.

+ The lower rear collapsable plate rack enables you to place large pans in the area. The sliding cutlery container gives you great flexibility. Very quiet machine, good ergonomic design, dish drying capability is excellent.

- I have not found any faults or problems with the machine.

+ Excellent cleaning ability. Folding back rack is a good idea, but would be even better if you could 'lock' them up.

- My only real criticism is that the racks are not well designed (like almost every other dishwasher in the world, and taller items are at risk of toppling.

+ We cannot believe how good this is, we were quite happy with our old Hotpoint until it needed to be replaced, and now cannot believe how we put up with the noise and standard of wash. You would not know this was on it is so quiet and our saucepans came ot looking like new.

- My wine glasses won't go in it at all and my Denby crockery doesn't fit the plate racks very well but if you use very other slot it's fine.

+ easy to load and very handy i put it on at the end of the day and then can be unloaded in the morning ready for another day!!! it also matches my fridge, freezer and washing machine which was the main reson for buying it. It was also £60 cheaper than in argos when i brought it

+ the machine is very quite in fact half the time i have get close to listen to see is it is on. there re more than enough cycles to chose from and the automatic timer is great.

- i find the lower basket difficult to load, the folding racks should have been split to make it easier to fit larger items in and the fixed racks would have been better at the back or on the side as opposed to the front. the cutlery tray is rather buky and does not seem to have a proper place to fit.

+ Fantastic performance, all round quality appliance. Everything comes out really clean. Racks are adjustable and we love the colour!

- We bought it because it was the only graphite machine we could find to match our other hotpoint washing machine. And we had previously had a hotpoint DW that had lasted 8 years, very good. This one annoys me because of the loading space. The cutlery carrier does not seem to fit properly anywhere and always seems to get in the way of the plates. In the top tray things don't seem to be as secure as in my previous machine, and dishes and cups etc end up leaning on each other. I don't seem to be fitting as much in.The timer delay, only delays in quantities of three hours, it did not explain that in the write up.

- for the money i expected to see more stainless steel, its aawfully 'plastic'.

+ This is the quietest dishwasher I have ever owned, and also gives the best cleaning performance.

- The stacking trays could have been designed better, which is odd as Indesit make Hotpoint and my previous dishwasher was an Indesit and the stacking trays were of a much superior design even though the dishwasher was of a lesser quality.

- droning sound as wash progresses and it seems to use rather more salt and rinse aid than any other dishwasher we have had. The internal layout could be a little better .Not easy to get an average cooking load in( ie plates ,pans, bowls)

- It can't be very environmentally friendly as, when it's set using the time delay, there are 4 lights on. one of which flashes.

+ This is my first dishwasher, and I was pleased that it was quieter than I expected.
There is a good choice of cleaning cycles, and working out how to load and how to alter the racks was
easy once I worked out how the machines actually work.
It was also cheaper than I expected and appears well constructed so far.

- I would have liked to be able to do a hot wash for heavier soils, while having the choice of leaving out the drying cycle if I wanted.
I would have liked more of an 'idiots guide' in the manual, but I managed so it can't be that bad.
So far, nothing else comes to mind, but I've only used it 5 times to date.

- Top basket not so easy to fill, the grey flaps are too high to put much on, they catch on the outside of the machine when you open and close the door. The cutlery basket is quiet limited in where it can be put on our model, it only fits across the front plate racks, the back ones are spaced too far apart for it to fit.

+ On bottom rack able to remove the plate holders at the back of the rack, enabling more space for pots,pans and halogen oven. also gives more freedom to move the cutlery holder around (very limited otherwise) still has plenty of room for plates at the front of the machine.
Top rack removed the knife holder on right hand side (you can get better access to glases by doing this)

- Bulky cutlery holder takes up too much room

+ Quiet in operation, can use hot water feed, good cleaning power

- No way of telling, once started, when it will finish

- Not quite as quiet as I hoped for. Some parts of the cycle can get noisy.

+ This dishwasher was bought as a replacement for my ailing Bosch. It is so easy to use, and gives great results each time.

- No real bad points, except slightly noisier than the Bosch.

+ I am so pleased with my purchase; finally I have found a dishwasher with a time delay. This means that I no longer have to plug in an additional timer to run it at night, which was always bit of a task to set it etc. I am very satisfied with the dishwasher that I would determinately recommend it to a potential buyer. It is modern, sleek, efficient and very quiet which is important as I usually run it at night. Top marks from me!

- I really cannot fault it. It was not the cheapest but there again, if you want it to last for years you ought to invest a little bit more money.

- I am very disappointed with this machine and will not be buying a Hotpoint dishwasher again, I was advised to buy a Hotpoint as my old Indesit had given up the ghost, but would not recommend this product to anyone - was much happier with my indeset. It does not clean the plates, there is always food left on them and the knives and forks are misty.

- The lower tray can easily come off the rails if you are too enthusiastic to empty or load
