+ Shelves do not tip when loadiing and it has a light to let you know when sat and rinse aid are low

+ For the price this works very well and has a good range of functions. The cleaning is first class, the extra button for use with tablets is great as I found some tablets don't produce good results in other machines. The machine is quiet and I also like the short rinse cycle.

- It looks a bit 50's retro and seems big. The normal cycle with tab function seems to take over 2 hours so it is often left on over night as it is still running when we go to bed. Like other users comments the dual lioght functions for delayed time is a bit confusing.

+ This is the second Hotpoint Dishwasher I have purchased and have been very please with both.

+ My first ever dishwasher so I have limited experience, however so far it has been brilliant! Lots of different cycles to choose from including half wash which is perfect for me. Everything has come out spotless.

+ It is so quiet - excellent. Haven't worked out the best way to load it yet and can't work out how to adjust the cutlery holder - must read the instructions again!

- when you load the bottom, the draw has a mind of its own, every time you put stuff in, it will automatically ride back home so you have to constantly pulling the draw open to add you washing up,

+ This is a very quiet machine-we have to check it is turned on and washing!

- The pause button is irritating, difficult to spot when the light is blinking, which means it's now ready to go, we have loaded and left it on pause, thinking it was going.
Loading options are poor, the cutlery tray has onl;y ,limited options and does not split like our previous model, also it has small slots though which to load the cutlery; we have some chunky items which simply do not fit

+ Sounds like distant surf, very quiet. Easy to load and operate. I love it. I haven't used the dealy function since its so quiet it doensn't impinge on conversation at all.

- Manual wasn't very clear about how to load dishwasher salt and the terminology used wasn't consistent with the diagrams which is fine if you've used a dishwasher before because you would probably understand what to do anyway but if you hadn't like us it was a little confusing.

+ What's good is that it does exactly what it says; cleans beautifully

- Top section isn't really thought out; glasses are not held securely. Care is needed to ensure they don't get broken in opening and closing. Bottom section doesn't fit snugly on runners and is rather light, so comes off and is awkward to get back on when full.

- You have to always select the 'tabs' button if you are using tablets which means this light stays on. Too many lights stay on. Could do with another side shelf on top drawer and different arrangement of rack. Have to be careful utensils don't slip out of sides of top drawer. Water softness selection is odd and the instructions are unclear.
