Quiet machine, we use the eco wash which is slowish, but gives an excellent finish and uses less energy, so we're happy. Our last machine was out of the ark and this represents very good value for money

It's great!!
Extremely quiet, the everyday cycle(60 mins) is great for just that, the normal wash gets everything used cooking a roast spotless! I haven't used the superwash, Eco, Speed, or pre-wash yet as I haven't needed to. The controls are easy to use as are the setting up instructions. There are salt and rinse aid indicators to let you know when to refill.
-
Not many, except for the top tray, loading glasses...they topple over quite easily which can be quite frustrating.
With the bottom tray, if you have plates loaded at the front and nothing at the back and you want to pull it out to put more in say later, it drops at the front or comes off it's runners. Again, this can be quite frustrating, but on the whole it's great machine and we are very happy with it.

The machine is smart and simple to use. As the basic model it has plenty of features although the use of lights to mean multiple things (for example the finish light is also the 9 hour delay light) can be a bit confusing at first. It’s also very quiet compared to my last machine. I would recommend as the bad points are minor and made in the small hope that Hotpoint may take on the feed back (lol)
-
Apart from the confusing lights at first, the one thing I never realized till we owned the machine was that the delay option is a choice of either 3/6/9 hours which can be a bit restrictive. I agree with all the comments about the drawers and cutlery holder they are not the best design, I have my top drawer on its highest setting which means the knife holder will not flip up if you don’t want them. Although the same physical size as my old machine it seems to have lost space inside where it counts. The only saving grace is that my baking sheets etc now stand in the lower tray and the upper arm still spins freely - something my old machine struggled with!

The slope of the dish racks on the top shelf is not very good for dishes and small plates. When you have the top shelf in the lower position to make it easier to load, there is not enough space for large saucepans in the bottom rack.

Much better build quality than our previous Hotpoint dishwasher - nothing feels as though it will break. The controls are simple and easy to fathom and the design is very neat. It is also very quiet when running any cycle.

Not the cheapest but you generally get what you pay for.
Worryingly, it has started to make a few odd noises - we've only had it a month! Hopefully, it is nothing to serious to worry about.

I have been extremely pleasantly surprised by how great this dishwasher is.
I had a negative perception of dishwashers since my parent's one is old, not very good and the way in which they use it does not make it labour-saving or economical either.
However I have had the completely opposite experience wih mine. I am totally surprised at how well it cleans the dishes. And I deliberately do not rinse my dishes - having seen my parents rinsing (washing) the dishes before putting them in the dishwasher and wondering what is the point of having a dishwasher. So my dishes are pretty dirty when they go in. I currently live alone and it takes me about a week to fill it so the dirt is pretty caked on by the time I switch it on but the dishes come out sparkly clean.
The kitchen is always tidy as I no longer have dirty dishes lying around waiting to be washed or have to wash up every few minutes in order to keep it tidy.
It seems to be very eco friendly - especially since i do not put it on every day and is probably more eco friendly than handwashing. And, if the literature is to beleived, is probably more hygenic than hand-washing too.
From someone that used to be a dishwasher-sceptic this is one of the best purchases I have ever made and it was far cheaper, more economic, more efficient and eco-friendly than I had expected.
-
Please not that where I have given slightly lower marks the issue probably applies to ALL dishwashers and is not a specific complaint against this model.
I have given lesser marks on cycle times - but i doubt it is longer than any other product on the market and I have always thought that cycle times for washing machines and dishwashers are too long.
Ease of loading - again i find it awkward getting everything into the slots - especially wider plates and bowls. And always feel there should be more spaces for cutlery and irregular shaped items. But again most dishwashers seem to have a similar configuration and maybe I just have not got the hang of it yet.

Easy to connect to existing plipes from previous dishwasher.

2 very minor bad points.
The forks fall through the holes in the bottom of the cutlery basket therefore banging the seal on the bottom of the door when pushing the drawer back in so we have to put them in the other way round but then have to be careful when unloading so as not to stab your hands.
Secondly there seems to be less space to put dinner plates than our last one even though it holds the same number, although the space for smaller side plates seems larger.

Sparkling clean every time. Love the dark colour and very easy to clean outer. General fabric in and out is at a very good robust standard so will hopefully last. I like the way the cages roll in and out - the lower one is not on a rail so is very easy to adjust back if it comes off. Door opens and closes beautifully - great design. Electronics easy to use and switches glide.

Tablets do not fit very well in the compartment when shut. The cycles are too long and I have no idea why I would use some of them (maybe I just want wash and go!!) The cuttlery cage, wherever positioned, takes up too much plate space also I find I cannot get too much in the entire machine. So far though I really do like the machine but always just use the normal cycle as it seems to be the quickest.

quick wash cycle does a good job on most days

bottom tray slide action is a bit hit and miss as there are no guides for it - it may get easier with practice, but it's a bit of a pain.
the machine makes a fairly loud, low pitch noise on some washes - not too bad, but I would not want to sit in the kitchen and try to have a chat next to it!

Quiet (unlike my previous machine which produced water hammer that resonated around the house). Since we normally run the machine overnight this is an important good point.
I like the option of a pre-wash.
Washing performance appears to be very good based on limited experience to date.
-
Limited delay time options. Not a big problem because the machine is so quiet.
The widest point of the machine is 600mm but the gap I have to fit it into is 596mm. My previous machine was just under this. The machine does fit in a standard 600mm slot but there is no margin for error.
