+ The cooker is of fantastic build quality and has a performance to match. Everything is very straight forward and very flexible to suite all cooking needs.

- The only down side is that not all of the hob rings reach a really high tempreture. But this is minor!!

- The time alarm is too low and cannot be heard outside the kitchen and one has to bend down quite alot to read the ring references which are located below the knobs.

- There was aproblem with the temperature probe and the oven was operating 30 degrees below par but this was quickly resolved

+ very easy to use, all the intelligent settings are fabulous. easy to keep clean. shelves very adjustable.timer nice and simple, i had my other cooker for 12 years but every time i wanted to set the timer i had to get the instructions out , not with this model!!

- knobs are too easy to turn on, i have done by mistake a couple of times, so has our 18 month old daughter!!!
the grill pan handle is the only let down.

- Control knobs easily turned on by accidentally brushing against the cooker - there are no 'press in and turn' features to prevent this. Have been caught out once or twice by standing against cooker and accidentally turning the control knobs and hotplate on, without warning, and burnt hand in consequence

+ cannot comment on all the oven settings yet but baking turned out nice and evenly cooked.
Looks good in my kitchen, hope the ceramic top doesn't get easily scratched and old looking before it really is old.

- It is too easy to turn on the controls therefor dangerous for children.
Half grill takes too long to heat up and grill pan is too far away from the grill.

+ Stylish looking and well made - apart from the cheap and nasty grill pan handle!

- I preferred my previous Hotpoint cooker as it had a dual ring for either large or small pans and it had two halogen rings. The odd shaped dual ring on the new design is not as good as most pans have circular bottoms. Also the solar rings take a long time to get hot enough to boil water. The grill pan handles is cheap and nasty and the control for the grill is difficult to set at .5 temperatures. Overall I do not think theis new desing compares favourably with my old Hotpoint model and I would not buy one again.

- Poor hob design, who ever uses a fish kettle? No large hob at the front or small inner ring at the back or front.
Hob knobs poorly arranged and difficult to tell which is which without having to bend down and not above dials as normally arranged. Saucepans seem to slip on the surface.
When the oven is on can no longer see the time. The oven is less efficient than our old Creda cooker and Intelligent cooking is just a gimmick the money would have been better spent on intelligent design
The main oven light intermittently switches on by itself when not in use

The cooker is very inferior to our old Creda cooker. The cooker was supplied with broken grill switch!

+ first time for a ceramic top...i was worried about using a glass top thinking it very fragile and might easily scratch but i use the hotpoint recommended cleaner which i 'internet buy' direct from hotpoint. the main oven is fan and conventional operated which i find good when cake making. the oven also has a bread rising temperature which i have found useful for bread/pizza making
