- my top iron pot stands rusted within 10 days of having appliance and the oven isnt bigger than a normal cooker was very disappointed with the product

+ Plenty of room on top for saucepans etc. Oven would be great for large turkey at Xmas.

- Stainless steel not very stainless. Unable to remove marks around burners. Not worth buying single oven. Much too large. Cooker came with new house! OK for larger families.
Oven uneconomical to use for small amounts of food.

+ Easy to use, instructions are clear, design is a good and practical ensuring it can fit in any kitchen whatever the design. Plenty of features, probably to many for what will be used by me but an over enthusiastic chef could have a lot of fun. Definately good value for money, feature are similar to other range style cookers and practically half price

- only two things which are not necessarily bad points but can make life a bit difficult is the grill not being seperate and the oven appears to takes ages to warm up.

easy to clean top/looks good with matching back splash
variety of setting for cakes, roasts, etc
wok burner works well

- cleaning large oven is a chore
oven glass has browned quickly and needs harsher cleaner to get back to looking new
would not recommend for smaller family as oven is very large

+ this is my second range cooker,but the first was`nt a hotpoint.
Although the oven is slightly smaller it cooks much more effectively

- The black metal frames on the hob can be difficult to clean as fibers come off cleaning clothes and stick to metal.

Conventional ovens heat from the bottom so the top of the oven will be slightly hotter than the bottom. This is useful when you’re cooking lots of different dishes at a time. However, they do take a little longer than fan ovens to heat up. Fan ovens circulate the air so that you get an even temperature throughout the oven. They are quicker to heat up which means they save on energy and time. Multifunction ovens give you the flexibility to use different methods of cooking. They usually have both fan and conventional settings as well as pizza settings that will only cook from the bottom, giving you a crispy pizza, or top-only cooking that is very useful for browning.

Self-cleaning ovens can come with catalytic liners or pyrolytic programmes. Calalytic liners are the bumpy surfaces which line the inside walls of the oven. They absorb the food and grease and break it down so that the oven is easier to clean. Pyrolytic programmes run for a couple of hours and burn off all the grime in your oven at temperatures up to 500°C. As it gets so hot, the oven door usually locks so that all you need to do is sweep up the ash that’s left over at the end.
