I find it noisier than previous dryers I have had but maybe this is because it is a condensor. I also find some of the setting confusing. eg I cant seem to set it on high heat on certain cycles even though according to the hand book it should be possible.

It is noisey, much more noisey than my previous Hotpoint I'd had for 9.5 yrs. Partly its just noiser, partly because there is a pump to get the water up to the collection point!
Door doesn't open as smoothly.
Loads take 2 or 3 times the time specified on the machine to dry the clothes, thus not making it energy efficient.
We've had the engineers out 3 times in the 3 months we've had it. They usually cant get out for a week or two once called though.

Easy to use. Takes a full load from my Dyson washing machine. Very efficient, clothes are always properly dry at the end of the cycle. Fluff filter and water tank are at front of machine and are easy to clean/empty.
Would look smart in any kitchen. No problems at all with condensation or dust/fluff, not even when clothes have come straight from washing machine. My old dryer left a layer of fluff all over the room and steamed up the windows. If you remove the dry clothes straight away they hardly need ironing.
-
The "touch" open/close door has to be pushed in just the right place for it to open or close first time, can be irritating if you are in a hurry. Metal casing is a bit thin, making the dryer quite noisy. Buttons have to be held in for a while before dryer starts, can't help feeling that a bit more care could have been put into the construction hence the lower rating for value for money.

The drier will dry up to a 7kg load but when very full of heavier clothes, such as big towels, pairs of jeans, etc, you may have to give the drier another turn at getting the clothes dry. A very full load of haevier clothes seems to confuse the sensor.

It's a huge monster - it really is the preverbial elephant in the room, is extremely noisy but worst of all generates enormous ammounts of heat. I bought this model so I didn't need to leave a window open and stick a tube through it - but because of the heat you have to have a window open anyway, so why not get the one with the tube and save money? Alternatively, put it in the living room and pretend it's a fire or something, it'll keep you warm on cold nights.

This condensing dryer is a replacement for one with a hose. We had replaced the hose with a condensing box which wasn't very effective, so are delighted to have a dryer which doesn't leave windows & fridge/freezer moist . I haven't yet used all the different programmes, but am very pleased with the options offered and its performance so far.

The door doesn't fit flush, though this doesn't seem to affect it, just makes it look a bit lop-sided. The buttons take some pushing at different angles before they respond, but with perseverance they eventually push in as required.
