The clothes come out of the machine almost dry.

+ This is a nice looking machine with great features, or which my favourites are the detergent draw being positioned behind the door and the child lock so little fingers can't change the programme while the machine is working.
It's VERY quiet, only making a noise when filling with water and in a high spin.
The selection of programmes is good and there is an ECO indicator to let you know when you are saving energy by decreasing the temperature or spin. The drum is positioned slightly higher than normal, which helps with loading. Overall I'm really happy with this machine.

- None really other than some of the washing programmes are quite long and there is no time indicator to tell you how long the cycle has left.

+ This machine is so quiet you can't even hear the water going in at the start, never mind the spin! I had to keep checking it was still working.

- This isn't really a bad point - more a 'different' design - the drawer for powder/liquid is covered once you have closed the door so for the first few times of use, I had to re-open the door to put the liquid and conditioner in.

+ Large drum means I am doing less wash cycles each week. Cold wash combined with fast wash cycle saves money on electric when you just want to freshen up clothes. Looks a little different from your average washing machine making an utilitarian electrical just a little more interesting...

- When you use the quick cycle you cannot change the spin setting.

+ Really quiet throughout cycle although fast spin is still noisier than I would have liked.
Great to be able to reduce water temperature and spin speeds to enhance energy efficiency and so easily as well. Cold water fill only is a bonus as it doesn't use up all your hot water from the tank.
Good drum size - child lock and soap dishes inside door so children can't pull them out.
Looks good too.

+ Unbelievably quiet! We bought it based on reviews from Reevoo and we are over the moon with it. Our old washing machine sounded like someone was firing a machine gun in the kitchen when it got to the spin cycle; but with the Hotpoint AQXXL149P you can talk throughout the cycle without even raising your voice - Amazing!
Also love the option to select any cycle and lower the temp and spin speed to save energy. And the timer to delay the start of a cycle - you can set the wash to start an hour before you get in from work so the clothes aren't sitting in the machine damp all day. 10/10.

- After a month we are yet to find any. The length of the cycle is the only thing we didn't give it 10 for, and not because they are overly long, they are around the same as any other machine. 1hr 20mins-ish for a full load of coloureds.

+ Big family so needed a machine to handle big loads. Easy to work the controls. Has a very useful duvet cycle. Child lock is handy with littles ones!

- No night wash cycle, so the cycle will always run through to the end.

+ Can use low wash temperatures, extremely quiet, as i am on Economy 7 the delayed timer is of great use saving money beacause of using low cost electricity. Good number of programmes and the ability to customize them

+ It is so much quieter than my last machine, I sometimes 4get it's on! I don't find the cycle times any longer than my last one and I love the fact I can tailor the programme to suit my needs or make it a more economical choice. It also looks fab.
