Hotpoint AQ9L29UV Freestanding Washing Machine reviews: Front Loading loading, 9kg capacity washing machine

+ Child lock. Dispenser is behind the door, very good option if you have children. It has a short cycle of 30 minutes which you can half for slightly soiled garments that can be cut down to 15 minutes.

- No hand wash cycle, only for wool.

+ Great features and love you cna change the temperature realy easily. It is very quiet, also liked the door opening left to right, suited me.
Have actully used more than just the dark and white wash

- Washing time is not quick. Takes ages but clothes are clean even on the cold wash

+ Lot's of features and the drum size is huge which means less times for the washer to be on. I also think it saves money in detergent each wash covers more!

- The only down side I've found so far, is that if you don't have the door fully open when loading clothes,detergent/softner,it swings closed .

+ I love how quiet this washing machine is and how big the drum is. The time saver feature is great and was a must for me as I had got used to that from my last Hotpoint. I also love how clean the washing gets, sounds daft as it is a washing machine but my last Hotpoint washer didn't get them half as clean as this one. There is a good range of cycles to choose from and a very helpful guide in the instruction book telling all you need to know about each programme. Brilliant design to have the detergent drawer inside the main door that can be child locked. My boys favorite think was swilling the water in the drawer when my old washer was on so I loved this feature. Also love the look of it and love the good size door for easy loading and unloading

- Not much I can fault it on but my bad points are:
Some cycles take a very very long time. (one load I did lasted almost 4 hours! so didn't use that programme again.) There is one quick wash option but could do with another programme around an hour long for a decent wash without waiting for ages. Most programmes seem to be around an hour and half + No half load button, so feels like a waste when there isn't enough to do a ful load, not sure if it is supposed to realise when the load is less and adjust the cycle but you never know if it has done or not so would prefer a half load button to choose myself.

+ Great to look at but also a great washer. The child lock feature is good as it stops the children interfering with the machine. Overall a great purchase.
