Hornby Local Freight Train Set

+ The set is very well made, and a better price than I've seen elsewhere. I think it was excellent value for money.

- The instructions weren't terribly clear, I had to rely on my previous expwerience of these types of tracks to put it together.

+ Ideal first 'proper' model electric train for young children. Easy to set up and use.

- Like a lot of toys which are made of lots of pieces it is very difficult when the track etc is taken apart to put things back in the box. I always encourage my children to do this to prevent damage when not in use.

+ Excellent value for money electric Hornby train set - no batteries to recharge! Life-like locomotive and carriages - my grandaughter spends hours playing with this train set and absolutely loves it!

- Only tiny thing that worries me is that it is mains powered, so must not leave younger children alone with it.

+ My grandson says it is 'the best train set in the world!' and has enjoyed many happy hours playing with it (as has his dad). He loves putting jelly babies in the freight carriages, so when it stops he can eat one. A great buy.

- The train comes off the tracks occasionally and it is fiddly to get back on.
