Hitachi C1426T Reviews: 14" Screen CRT TV

+ Good picture and ease of use with digital TV. size is just right for kitchen use.

- I have tried to view my digital camera images with this TV. unfortunately the images are unsatisfactory because they are in black and white only. I have asked professional advice and it seems the problem may be one of fine tuning. I have been unable to sort this out however.

+ Good reception even with a set-top aerial. Doesn't look as "boxy" as flat-screen TVs. Plenty of volume if required.

- The main thing is that it has no Freeview tuner - but then I guess it wouldn't work well with a set-top aerial. The automatic tuning seemed to go wrong and I had tune manually. The set has a habit of emiting sudden bursts of VERY loud crackling sounds when my wife walks past; setting the automatic volume limiter is a must!

- Tuning to tv channels is not as user friendly as could be.
