+ Vrery lightweigh and responsive. Good performance

- Linux operating system a bit of a nightmare to understand and get connected to a wireless router system - would recommend wipine the linux off sand replacing with Windows XP, as now this has been done, the net book is much easier to navigate and completes the package !!

+ Looks brilliant.

- No Windows, which for me meant the product was completely useless and had to be returned, which is a shame.

+ Looks great and the keypad is a joy to use. The screen resolution is brilliant so everything will look ace.

- Linux takes a bit of getting used to if you have been used to all things microsoft. If all you want is to surf the web and doa bit of word processing, why pay more than this. Great price for a fab notebook.

Simon, Reading , “Mobile Project Manager”

+ This is a very portable machine allowing you to work from anywhere, it is fast and just like any other ordinary laptop but nowhere near as cumbersome. It looks great and slick. The machine starts up and closes down very quickly. Open Office is compatible with most other software and seems to be very functional. On the hoof & once connected e mails and internet access is so simple.

- Apart from the poor battery life, it can be sometimes be fiddly getting connected to the internet. Instructions for both the machine and the software are not easily available without getting connected to the internet. An HP compact disc was supplied with the netbook for instructions but of course there is disc drive. So it's learn by trial and error which can be very time consuming.

+ Excellent overall quality with a useable keyboard. Remarkable sound output. If Windows XP is installed, it should satisfy an average user. I personally use it to complement my Apple mac mini for research away from home and it does the job adequately.

- Fast with linux but remains limited in use. It is at its best with Windows XP. Keep away from Vista because the via processor cannot handle it as good The 8.9" screen is small and it would have been served much better by a 10.2" one. Battery life is only 2 hours, making it less portable in reality.

+ Beautiful designed case and keyboard. Clear screen with high resolution. Excellent features such as webcam, sd card reader pci card slot, touch pad lock button etc.

- My Mini Note originally came with Linux Suse 10 however after struggling with live updates to get the right bits installed and the fluctuating presence of wireless networking, I gave up and installed Windows XP. This still is a great option though as buying with Linux then installing XP proves a much cheaper option that buying originally with a Windows OS. Has run like a dream since installing XP, now the only struggle is trying to locate an adequately sized neoprene case!

+ Screen display quality (1280 x 768) is very good, general build quality also appears excellent.Open office and firefox built in, along with loads of other useful applications.

- SLED10 O/S needs a friendly linux bod to keep in check - updates will break various settings and support from HP is useless. Battery life only 1 or 2 hours. Would be more user friendly with ubuntu. Not all applications are up to date versions.

+ Brilliant little machine. Fine build and has sufficient specs for all but the most onerous tasks. You'll never want to lunk around a clunky laptop again.

- For best results, install XP before using.

+ Light (relatively)
Great Screen WXVGA
Stylish Design
Keyboard size is the best NoteBook I've used for typing on.

- Speakers poor (but expected, due to their depth).
Delayed response to mouse/pad click.
Should do a 'bundle' deal which includes a 6 Cell Battery. (and maybe a carry bag also? for accesories, Power lead/charger etc)
Should also do a 'bundle' deal with 2 power cables/chargers, (i.e. work + home)
