+ I have always wanted a laptop that could out perform most others and this HP can certainly do that. Nice big monitor and beautifully designed. Absolutely delighted with just about everything to do with this computer.

+ Smooth start and can work on too many programs at the same time. Massive hard disk capacity is an excellent comfort. Webcam performs excellently in video chatting.

- Sound is not upto my expectation. This kind of high end entertainment pc should come with Blue-ray. An HP laptop bag can add a lot of value to the owner.

+ Very well made machine that performs well and has all the features I want. This laptop has a "quality" feel to it. I am not a gamer but feel this machine would hold it's own in this area too.

- Big. Not really a bad point as I wanted a large laptop as a desktop replacement but be aware it is large and is not really suited for mobility. Excellent desktop replacement though and easily moved around where a desktop is not.

+ Fantastic Entertainment Laptop. Has a two 250GB hard drives (500GB). Great 17.3 Wide-screen display. Quick Duo Core 2 Processor 2 (P8600 2.4Ghz). Unique black glossy finish makes the laptop stand out from the rest.

- Such a "High Spec" should really come with a blu-ray player. Is quite heavy and not portable (but that was expected) I must say i have found it difficult in finding a suitable laptop case (but minor issue)

+ Seemed ok but was not given the chance to do a proper evaluation....See bad points!!!!!!!!

- This computer would not easily connect to the Internet. Wirelessly.
Very Very unstable ie hit and miss.
HP technical staff did their best to solve the problem.
Could not. After about 10 days I contacted Curry's and returned computer for a refund.
Curry's very helpful.
At home we have a Desktop and Dell laptop....no problem in connecting to the Internet....o2 broadband.
Have now purchased a Sony Viao Laptop.
Connected to the Internet Wirelessly in 10 Minutes.
Also to our Wireless printer.
The HP Pavilion laptops I suggest have an inherent design problem with the wirless tecnology.
I should have read the reviews on this Pavilion range before Purchase as I see that I am not alone in having this problem.

+ Well designed, very fast and initial set up was easy. Not the cheapest around, but you get what you pay for -it is worth the extra.
Speakers are excellent, as is the screen quality.

- Design could be improved by having the inlet for power at same side as internet cable and usb outlets - so that all cables normally needed were together. A minor point - and a personal preferance.
No bad points - so far.
