+ Reasonable games graphics

- Vista is a pain comapered to XP

+ lovely, stylish design. has good battery life, with nice big, clear screen. lots of great software on the laptop.
its works very fast and ive had no problems with it so far. love the touch buttons for the media player, with the fancy lights. and webcam is brilliant, very clear picture, with lots of great features.

- it collects a lot of dust and fingerprints, and i feel like im always cleaning it.

- Battery life is very bad considering it only lasts less than 2 hours other than that the this laptop is the cheapest multimedia one of its kind and more expensive laptops don't have a blu ray player with massive hard drive.

- No supporting literature. Some kind of descriptive booklet would have been good, to tell you everything it can do.

- The product may be ok but it is severely let down by the operating system - Vista 32-bit. Just what is the point of Vista? A big, big disappointment after XP.

- Vista OS - Too many HP programs running in background - Too much resources being taken - Generally very very slow - Battery life is rubbish - L1 cache incorrectly decribed as L2 cache - When working from battery the screen goes very dark the less power available - The computer slows down the less power available - Much to much memory is taken by unnecessary applications running. Vista mostly to blame for incapatibility.

- I would want the battery to last alot long but i would say that for most laptops at this price

+ This is a lovely laptop, its pretty :) and easy to use and works super fast!

- The only problem I have is that the touch screen buttens are quite anoything sometimes!

+ Generally this is good value for money. .I bought it for the graphics card, and I find that graphics software work very well on it.

- The battery life is quite short, usually only a couple of hours. Also I find that I can't use it for extended periods because the screen gives me a headache, however I find this a common problem with modern monitors, I think it is not a problem specific to this particular product.

+ Only had this machine for a few weeks but i have been abl to complete every task that i set out to do with as much ease as with my desktop, would definately would recommend it.

- Have not really found any bad points yet, the only gripe i may have is that it is a little heavier than similar size models but i can live with it.

+ its a blue ray and i wanted a player thought i might as well buy one on a pc, and am able to plug it in to the hd socket on the tv.

- havent found any yet, had an acer before, and this one is better quallity even thow its a refurb, am very happy, and was able to, have now and save and pay later. the buttons are realy nice and sturdy on the key board,

- battery life could be a bit longer

+ well built, quality casing, big comfortable keys, angled/wedge keyboard for wrist comfort, one mulitple card slot, screen clarity, good speakers, solid feel, fast and powerful, great media centre.

- Battery life bit short, didn't last for an average film, quick touch keys can stick and click but just as easy to use track pad or remote to control, vista irritating.

+ Very clear screen, every programme loads quickly, very fast - can do loads of things all at once - never crashes - light - smart - very user friendly - great key board - looks stylish

+ The blueray player is definately the best point of this laptop. The screen is very clear and the keyboard very easy to use.

- The touch buttons for the volume are tempremental and when turning the volume up and down using them it clicks and does not change the volume well,but its simple enough to use the volume tab on the tool bar...thats the only real fault I've found!

+ Great design, looks fantastic and a good keyboard layout. The Media player touchkeys and the remote control are particularly good features.
I use this to do lots of things as I study and often use it round the house with wireless, but it also plays games and can play widescreen movies.
Probably one of the most stylish designs I've seen at this price and I'm very happy with the price and condition of the equipment considering the sheer amount of good features packed into the design.

- Battery life is mixed. Lasts longer if you switch off wireless and use the power saver function, forget to do so and you can only go for 80-100 mins before a charge. Vista is a downside as an operating system, but having to live with it, it's a real pity that this computer only has the 32-bit home premium version and not the 64-bit. The processor and RAM could certainly handle the bigger version.

- Battery life is below expected. You have to make your own recovery discs which take about 4 hours! It is shipped with the usual pre-installed rubbish that you will never use and spend 3 days un-installing them and applying Gb's of windows updates!

- Mouse pad is too smooth and shiny

+ Good processor, ram, has a blue ray player and inbuilt camera and mic which is always useful. Also comes with a media centre remote that proves very useful if you watch movies on your laptop (although its easy to lose)

- Volume control is by touch pad. It is very fumbly. Sometimes it doesn't work, sometimes the volume control pops up when you are in the middle of a movie for no reason at all and then obstructs the screen of about 10 seconds. This happens every 2 minutes sometimes until you restart the computer.

Its good looking,u can actualy play games on it!, sounds fantastic,the screen on it is better than any normal pc monitor i have tried! so crisp and sweet,viewing movies or pictures is a joy,its got blue ray but will also play dvds.
It has touch points above the keyboard that let u alter sound, connection to internet,and more... using your finger.

- ive had it nearly 1 month without, even the slightest problem.

+ Lovely looking computer and it seems quite meaty performance wise.

- The battery life really lets it down which I complained to Curry's about but they did not seem interested. The worst part of it all was that the computer was damaged on receipt and after trying several times to contact them (via both email and phone) they finally offered me a poultry amount of £20 which I find insulting.

+ A superb, fully loaded, feature packed laptop. A pure bargain for the money. Not many laptops out there with this spec for this money.(Blu ray, remote control, HDMI out, Card reader etc)

- Boots very slow but i think that is a vista issue, should fix with my free upgrade to Windows 7. The only thing this laptop lacks is Bluetooth and Wireless 'N' draft (only has wireless b + g).
Shiny coverings are very prone to scratching.
Other that those small gripes, a fantastic laptop.

+ I looked at the reconditioned notebooks for ages before I decided to buy, because of some of the horror stories I had heard. Even though I've only been in possession of this unit just over a month, I was surprised at how fast it was able to process a lot of information fast. I would recommend this notebook to anyone, but be sure to look at the specifications in depth before purchasing.

- Battery life in reality is just over an hour, despite what HP manuals might say!!
