+ I've had this for a month nearly and it's great! Everything works fine, games play on it well (i have yet to buy any recent games but things like the Dawn of War games have no probs running on it, and I'm sure other games will run well too.) It shuts-down really fast, I even timed it because I was amazed at how fast it was compared to my old pc lol (22 seconds from clicking shutdown to it powering off completely). I can hook it up to my widescreen tv as an extra screen with the HDMI socket or the monitor socket (you have to get your own cables for that though)
It does get quite warm, but then I do use it for a long time (using photoshop/painter to do my artwork) so I use the power cable instead of the battery. It comes with a little remote which opens windows media center or HP own dvd/blu ray player. I bought a laptop cooling mat which is a mat with two fans built in and connects via usb, to cool the laptop. I wouldn't worry about it having 250Gb memory, because you can always get an external hard drive (I bought a 500Gb one to back up my old pc and for new artwork i'll do on this and any other memory eating programs. Track pad! I never liked using the track pad on any laptop, im too used to using a mouse; it's quicker! What is cool on this model is... You can press a button above it to turn it off! What a revelation! An on/off button! There are free HP games on here too; just the puzzle types like Bejewelled 2, with an option to get more games. All in all, this is awesome, its not heavy, I can move it around with ease and its an excellent alternative to a pc tower and saves a load of space. I even bought a laptop rucksack to keep the dust off it too. The screen is bight and picture is awesome, clear and beautiful colours, games look wicked, sound is great.
The price-well, you have to consider this has what a pc has crammed into a smaller area, plus it has the fastest laptop processor by intel to date (Intel Centrino 2 - dont bother with the slower ones unless you dont want to use the pc for games or other graphics dominated applications.) and the Nvidia card has, ok, just 256mb memory, but it is dedicated memory to the card, and it also has 1.5 GB shared memory, which basically means it helps to free up the graphics memory used by the pc and allows games and dvds/blu ray and graphics programs to play effortlessly. So far I love this laptop!

- One snag i hit was that when i hooked it up to the widescreen tv with HDMi to watch Iron Man i noticed on the tv there is an intermittent blinking going on- the picture and sound itself are excellent, but that was quite annoying, so i just use the laptop screen for the blu ray (Iron Man is the first blu ray ive got, so ive yet to try other discs) and I've yet to try it out on the other widescreen tv we have-it could (i hope) just be the tv or the cable i have.
There are a lot of handy controls to adjust the picture and the type of tv you are connected to (it knows the brand!). Above the keyboard (which has nice clickety keys) is a touch sensitive control panel for the dvd/blu ray player that is all lit up and looks cool. Be careful when using the volume-what you do to control it is to drag the your finger tip across it, moving the volume slider up and down-but! Have patience for the volume to change in the screen too and audibly because, as i found, there is a bit of a delay and the sound can end up getting confused and go up and down and back up again for all the times u tried dragging the volume slider up and down, producing the click-click sound over and over again! Best to just use the normal volume control! (If this happens to you, just drag the volume slider touch control up to full volume, hold your finger there for a minute or so and release, then retstart the laptop. You probably wont end up using it much, but its fun to play with when you first start using the laptop). It comes with a leaflet that advise you to create System Recovery Discs once you have the laptop set up. There is the option to order the disc, and it does feature a recovery system that does not require discs, but I wanted to try the discs out, just in case.
As I went to do this following the instructions, it tells you you need either 13 cds (!) or one DVD DL. I had no idea what the DL meant, so I tried my CDs. But it wouldn't have it, something to do with it not having enough memory on the cd, even though its 700mb. The I realised DVD DL meant Dual Layer (doh!) so I got some, got the right type, but, still got the same message, even though this time it nearly completed the disc creation-so I dont know whats going on there (might be a simple answer-not too worried though).

+ So far so good. You need to update the version of HP QuickPlay that comes with it to get the BluRay player working. HDMI connection is good, but sometimes a little hit and miss and sometimes have to reboot to get it working, but once its working its fine. Sadly watching iplayer in fulll screen mode on TV over hdmi is a little jerky for some reason, compared to watching it not full screen. Not sure what the cause is. Overall very happy for the price, seems like a good quality laptop.

- Nothing really yet.
