+ Cheap to buy
Toner not too expensive considering the number of pages.
Does not require technical know-how to set up.
Works when needed without waiting for warm-up and has no cartridges to clog or dry out.

- Bit flimsy in construction.
Requires a fast USB port if page printing speed is to be realised.
Requires host computer to provide print engine for graphics, so you need a reasonably quick PC to maintain throughput and not slow down during printing.
Paper tray could be bigger, I hate splitting reams though even expensive printers don't tend to hold 500 sheets at one go.

+ Small and compact size. Very Easy to set up. Functional for a small office.

- After fitting a new toner cartridge, print quality deteriorates quickly for documents which have a lot of lines as they smudge and the only remedy is to change the toner cartridge again despite the fact that it still feels half full!
