Cadiz 7-Man Tent

+ Spacious, well built. Fairly easy to erect on my own.

- I would have liked a bigger groundsheet in 'living area' to go right up against the outer tent if required but supplied is adequate.

- it leaked on the zip on first putting1 up,but that was soon cured using some waterproof spray.

+ Very spacious with plenty of headroom, which was an important reason for buying. Withstood some pretty wild weather in the Lake District last week (1st week Sep 2008) without a hint of a leak.

- The long poles are a bit of a fiddle to erect. Instructions say can be erected by one person. Maybe if that person was Mr Tickle, otherwise you're back and forth trying to ease poles through. Easy to put up with two people though.

+ great value for money - good sized living area when you take out the smaller inner tent. Easy to put up. Stood up to a storm.

- The door is a bit badly designed - we had a really bad storm and some rain did come in the zip on the main door because the zip cover was easily lifted by the wind at the top. When you open the door if the tent is wet you can't help but let the water onto the ground sheet. However I must say this is a small problem with an otherwise great tent and in terms of comparing it to other tents on the market at that price it beats them hands down. As with all tents I wouldn't want to sleep 7 in it. It was ideal for us as a couple and all our stuff and would be alright with one or two kids or another adult.

+ quick and easy to put up and take down. fits easily back into storage case. good make / quality and quite spacious.

- bedrooms not quite as big as expected - could only fit 5 people into large bedroom if they were sleeping on the floor and not using matresses. same goes for small bedroom - can only fit in one person with a matress.
Head height could be a little higher in central living area.

+ Easy to put up by only two people in about 20 minutes. I've found tent to be very water and wind resistant. There is so much room for storage while still leaving plenty of room for for cooking or just sitting around if the weather is bad. There are only three of us in the tent when we go camping, so we have room to spare. I would think that a maximum of 4/5 people is about right if you don't wish to feel cramped and you want room to store things away.

- When you open main door in bad weather you can get some water in the living area, it would have been better with an extending porch to avoid rain getting in during bad weather. however this is only a minor problem for me and the good points far outweigh the bad.

- can't stand up fully in the middle section.

+ Good space and easy to pitch out.

- Leaks through the seams. Doorway emptys water inside when opened. Poor fittings and materials.
