+ My son is 29 years old and loves gadget type presents and usually have trouble finding him something good. This is the first time I have bought him a present that he really really likes. He was amazed at what Zounds could do, he is very artistic and music orientated so he absolutely loved this. I couldn't believe what good value for money it was as well, I will be buying one each for my 2 brothers as they will love it too

+ good design and a good interactive gadget. i bought this for my son, it' a great alarm clock as it can be a differerent sound each day. it's fun for most age groups. i'll be buying another one soon for my other son!

- Needs more interactive pieces and light spots as only having 3 different variations became a little restricting after a while. Though its only a toy/alarm clock

+ Limitless fun with creating new 'tunes' and sounds. Great for late night creativity! Funky design. Easy to use.

- Recording time of 5 secs is a bit pointless - insufficient - cannot 'loop' samples easily or in time - should've been in 4's 6's or 8s really. Bit frustrating when trying to create a decent 'track'.

+ Really good fun and found creating my own compositions very therapeutic. loved the simplicity of the design too.

- Programming the menu could be a little clearer.

- Don't really understand the alarm clock setting but as that's not why I bought it it's not a real problem.

+ According to my son you can record your soundz onto your mp3 which is cool. The problem is , is you lose one of the soundz because the cube which allows you to record has to go on one of the spaces which normally makes part of your tune. There should have been a separate bit (very technnical) for the cube therefore allowing you to use all the soundz. That all sounds very confusing but if you've got one you will know what I mean. Still good fun grate for kids and grown ups. Fantastic alarm clock and looks wicked in the dark.

+ Quite simply the best present I have ever purchased for anyone ever! It's almost impossible to describe but hours of enterainment are a guarantee. Ideal for music lovers, ravers, techies and heavy sleepers!

- It isn't challenging enough for people who are musically competant as it does all the mixing for you. The flipside of this is that it's great for people who love music but struggle with natural rhythm, comprehension, etc...
