USB Microscope

+ Optical clarity is surprisingly good given that it's a low cost "amateur" device. Great value for money.

- The stand could be made a little more robust but frankly I'm happy that the cost went into the quality that enables it to render good quality pictures.

+ decent resulotion, easy to use

- zoom only avaiable in 640x480. Doesn't tell you this anywhere. Software controls not very well thought out.

+ easy to set up and use

- stand is not heavy enough to support the microscope when using difrent angles, stand arm needs to be longer to allow larger objects to fit underneath.

+ Straightforward and simple to use. Easy image capture. Good range of magnification.

- Stand is useless, very limited in adjustment. Sometimes difficult to get focus right without moving microscope (small servo motor, remote controlled?)

+ I purchased the product to check on postmarks and other details such as perforations etc, and it has been of great use in this and other uses.

+ its great..looks really expensive it feels well made and of good materials.. amazing picture quality..seriously well worth the money.. great for all ages and will interest all kinds of people as it is such fun..

+ Difficult to assess as I bought it as a present for my Grand daughter for Christmas. However it looks great and was excellent value, and I think it will be educational and interesting to use

+ size, doesnt take up much room and can be used by my young grandson with ease, although I find it very durable and even rough handeling doesnt mar its performance.

- havent found any yet, but then we havent used it to its full potential yet.

+ Apart from the pleasure it has provided for my husband. It is fantastic value for money . The images are clear . The product has exceeded my expectations as at that price I thought it wouldn't be that good.

+ It's really easy to use. Fantastically mobile, nice product design, and the box it comes in is pretty cool. The features are neat, the fact that it can take stills and video. Great value for money. Good gift for 'kids' of all ages. My boyfriend (25) loved it.

- The drivers don't work on Linux machines which is a bit of a pity. The video format it saves video's in is not ideal. The main bad point I reckon is the magnification is just not enough.

- limited size of coins i can see in view, could do with motorized adjustment because its so small after letting go its hit and miss whether still in focus

Easy to instal.

- The Stand: The fitting that attaches the microscope to the stand is poorly designed as it is difficult to operate, difficult to adjust and provides limited ability to direct the microscope at an object. Focus: I believe that sharpness of focus could be improved Snap Shot button: The button is very difficult to operate without inducing some 'camera shake' which spoils the 'still frame'. The button should be made easier to operate or be cable operated. USB Cable: The cable is much too short thereby restricting use of the microscope unless an extension cable is used.
