+ Reasoably fast and easy to clean
- If lid is not replaced exactly, machine wont work. There appears to be no margin for error.

+ Robust design and features a locking mechanism to prevent accidental use. It turns its self off once it has been used for a prolonged period of time or when it gets too hot. Shreds the paper really thoroughly. Good value for money when I purchased it.
- Can be difficult to empty without spilling finer shreddings. Eventually I put a bag inside the shredder bin and that solved that.

+ Shredder compacts the cuttings, and access to the removal of the shredded paper is easy,no problem with cleaning both internal and external
- At first it took a while to accept the noise when shredding, but this was discounted with the end result.

+ Very safe efficient shredder. Large capacity bin, which prevents constant emtying
- Bin could be a made of a stiffer material, the flexibility of the material makes it more difficult to refit the top correctly for the shredder to operate. Large bin makes difficult storage, but you have to weigh up that against the capacity

- Slows down far too much if you put more than two sheets of paper through at a time even though it says you can shread eight at a time.
