- Due to the key combination which is used to unlock the phone the handset can be prone to becoming unlocked while in your pocket and can end making calls to phone numbers on the call history list

+ Fairly quick to startup and get to functions (this was a big problem on my old T610 and I vowed never to have another SE phone after that). Headphones good quality. Large, clear screen. Buttons are easy to use for those with big fingers and thumbs.

- At default settings it creates duplicates in Outlook when synchronising. Disc to phone software needs improvement for example it should be able to load album covers itself. The manual is not very good - does not explain a lot of the more detailed functions.

+ the alarm can be set differently every day of the week in just 1 sitting

- the rubber parts for the ear phones tend to fall off a little too easily

+ the reason for me purchasing the fone was mostly because of the walkman function which am finding great and very easy to use.

- texting - the keys and size of the phone makes it quite awkward to text. more awkward anyway than previous phones.

+ the phone is easy to use with good special features such as the light effects when using the walkman mode. Also the camera has good effects. The memory amount is brilliant as you can fit about 16 albums worth of music on to it.

- Some times when opening the screen there are a few lines for a second and then the actual screen appears.

- battery life could be better, doesn't cancel calls when u shut the slider, auto zoom on camera may be better.

+ I love the features on this phone - it does everything I need it to.

- The navigation/keypad is not as good as my previous phone - the Sony W810I. I have recommended the W810I to loads of people rather than the W850I.

+ Slider fascia is great. I didn;t think I would like it to start with but actually it makes it dead simple to lock the keypad and it means the earpiece and mouthpiece are located nearer to the ear and mouth in use.

- Navigation keys are a bit fiddly - actual buttons are better rather than push sensitive flat bits

+ Very easy to use, fun, full of useful tools, looks good, good "joystick" compared to previous models

- Chinese made (not of British quality), only demo games given free. Nowhere is it indicated where the texts/calls left this month. Would be useful if it had this feature rather than having to reset the call times etc every month

- Size-does feel a bit bricky but apart from that there are no other bad points.

+ Its a very user friendly versatile phone. I absolutely love being able to down load all my music and pictures to and from my phone.

- The only problem I have is with the key pads, I find them a little odd shaped and not comfy for typing messages.

- When you put it in your pocket the key lock disables. i think that it shoudnt unlock when the phone is slided down

- Only ONE small issue - the navigation key can sometime unlock your phone if it's in your pocket, resulting in a LONG session on the internet without your knowing it!

+ I live in a weak signal area, so I wanted a phone which would give me a decent signal, and this one's great. It feels solid, has an excellent screen, takes good pics (considering it's only 2mp), has the full Walkman sound and the keypad is easy to text with. I love it.

- Nit-picking now ('cos this phone ticks most of the boxes for me), I can't find a way to lock the buttons without closing the phone. And the camera's a bit fiddly to use. I'd like to be able to make the screen light stay on a bit longer when not in use.

- since its a sliding phone cannot put it in a case to protect and if did put it in the case you'd have to take it out of its case

+ Great mp3 player, easily syncronised with PC! face warping is hilarious - easy to use - with the 1 gb memory card that came with the phone the memory seems to be endless!

- Won't let me have calling tunes - sometimes music seems to play when i havn't intended it to. when using picture as screen savers they are show on a side view

+ Neat slide design and familiar (to me at least) Sony navigation interface. Auto-key lock when you slide it shut. Good sound quality, nice bundled headphones. Camera not bad either.

- Took literally hours to get it connected to a PC, and even then it will only work in one "mode" and not as a USB device. This means the music sync software doesn't work at all, which makes managing music on it a complete nightmare.

+ Phone,mp3 player and camera all in one. A really versatile phone. This Walkman phone has excellent sound quality and FM radio. Some people might prefer the latest wafer thin phones to this one which is quite chunky by comparison but personally, I like how it looks.

- The battery needs to be recharged frequently but on the plus side, it doesn't take very long to get it back up to full charge again.
