Print time is quite slow and it's noisy. My black cartridge has been problematic. I don't think it was being recognised by the printer and I had to change it for a new one after printing one A4 photo and about less that 15 pages of draft black text. Maybe I just have a problem with my printer. I'm waiting to see what it reacts like to a different cartridge. If it was actually empty then it's poor ink economy.
Also, if you're buying it because you have limited depth space, you should know that the power cable connection isn't inset at the printer end and sticks out about an inch and a half out the back - I had to cut a hole in my desk so I could sit the printer fully on my narrow shelf.

- sounds like a tank, cartridge problems straight away with black becoming " incompatable " after half a pages use. very short cartridge life.

Uses ink cartridges very quickly.
Irritatingly slow.
The printer does not recognise some Epson cartridges and refuses to print until replaced by another (Epson) cartridge.

- Very temprimental keeps telling me it is out of black ink. Turn off then it will print. Does not like to work on different computers.

+ Good simple printer, great for occasional prints and the like. Good value for money also and cartridges are relatively inexpensive compared to other brands.
- Paper holder is a bit flimsy, caused paper not to print straight on one occasion, although this is hasn't been a problem again.
