+ Good looks. Good features and functionality. Very good quality prints.

- Quite short cartridge life. Price of Epson cartridges. Difficulty getting compatible cartridges as it is not easily apparent when the printer was manufactured and the chip on the cartridge has changed.

+ I,m new to computing etc. and needed a "jack of all trades" the DX6000 does exactly what it says on the box. I have copied and printed without any problems whatsoever, but I have still to try the scan and photo utilities.

- Had trouble installing Scanner drivers - but epson technical support were very helpful in resolving the problem.

+ Works well. configuration is easy and every thing worked first time. Print quality is very good generally but can not comment on the photo printing as I have not tried it yet.

- Design is quite bulky. Could be made more compact. Multi page printing and double sided prinitng options should be easily accessible to save paper and ink.

- It's a little slower than some printers I've had but it's not an issue for me as I print small quantities at a time. Anyway, more of a niggle than a bad point.

- There is no software supplied with the prirter or compatible cable.The web site does not tell you to download ALL DRIVERS which can cause confusion.

- Too noisy, very slow.

+ It is cheap and reliable.

- It does not produce such good quality photographs from its four cartridges as my previous Epson printer which had six ink cartridges. The ink cartridges are not refillable.

+ Easy to set up, separate ink cartridges, cheap to buy and so far to run!

- Would be good to have more printing options on the printer itself, rather than having to use PC menus, but this is the smallest niggle, as the price was brilliant.

- Print speed is very poor. Previously had an Epson 980 which printed very quickly. Have tried updating the drivers but it is still very slow on basic printing

+ Easy to use, good features, reasonably fast. Prints photos well especially on quality photo paper. Scans well, scan to pdf useful. Compact size - well designed.

- Epson ink expensive, but easy to get compatible inks which are almost as good.

+ the good points to the epson dx 6000 are that it is an alround good printer- scanner, the inks are quite reasonable in price, and you only need to buy four as apposed to six.
