Q. easy to use ... good quality of scans even in auto mode. Pleased with ability to scan photos, slides & negatives. Like how it can recognise & scan different objects in same pass & store separately eg. 4 photos at once.
-
Installation software (for Vista I think) didn't work ... needed help & a 'workaround' which took 3-4 days.
A little on the large size .. tending towards A3 size.

Versatile and easy to use. Many different functions. 4 accessible buttons on front cover make life easier. Excellent value for money.
-
Flimsy panel inside front cover. Massive user guide which tends to repeat itself a lot. Text scanning and printing not always very clear. Lots to learn about what it can do. Scanning direct to printer using front button breaks down at scan point every time.

I purchased it mainly to convert my 35mm film onto the computer. It is amazing how it does it. Shame it does not do 127 film too.
-
It is quite slow but I do not have USB2. I think it would be quicker if I did

Does what it says on the tin. Good for the price
-
A bit noisy. Only 4 slides at a time. Obviously the higher the resolution the longer it takes to copy. At a decent res. it takes about 10 mins for 4 slides.

Nice slim design,
In Built storage area for the Negative Holder & In Built light for Negative scanning
Quick warm-up time, good quality (as you would expect from Epson)
Lid opens 180°, allowing sections of large books or drawings to be scanned.
Not the most solid built lid hinge, but dont expect any problems, for the price this scanner is great, but then again, most epsons are.

You can scan both photos and slides, improve the quality, scan multiple pictures at once and the speed is pretty good.
-
It has a tendency to stop working if you spend a long time scanning at once. It needs to be rebooted to continue.
