+ Small and compact, good onboard tools, up to usual Dyson standard of cleaning

- Takes some getting used to - you have to bear the weight of the machine when it is in action. May not be suitable for older persons. Flex is not over long, but OK length.

+ Great suction power and easy to use

- To start with seemed a bit heavy after our previous Dyson but soon got used to using it

- compartment for collecting dirt is a bit small so you have to empty regularly

+ Everything is good about this product.Its design, function and guarantee. We've always had Hoovers in the past, but they became so unreliable we switched to the "All Floors". The cleaning power is far superior to any othe machine we've had.

+ its nice to use and very easy to turn no pullin back to change direction easy to empty when full and a lot lighter than other dysons

+ I can't believe the amount of dirt the Dyson can lift, it's good on hard floors too, we've had a Dyson before but this is a much improved version.

- a bit plasticky , old DCO4 which I have feels solid when compared to this, controls are a bit fiddly , but when you get the hang of them they are fine to use

- The cleaner is far too heavy and not as manoeuvreable as it is displayed to be. the tool operation with the fixed metal extentsion is not removable and the lead is not retractable as on other vacuum cleaners.
The foot operation to lower the cleaner for operation is a waiting disaster

I HAD THE FIRST MODEL 01 FOR ABOUT 9 YEARS AND IT SEEMS ALL THE LITTLE PROBLEMS DESIGN OR FUNCTION WISE I FOUND AFTER YEARS OF USING THAT ONE HAVE BEEN ADDRESSED AND SORTED WITH THIS NEW ONE. FOR INSTANCE IF THERE IS A BLOCKAGE SOMEWHERE IT'S MUCH EASIER TO FIND WHERE IT IS, AS MANY OF THE AIR FLOW POINTS ARE EASY TO GET TO, AND FIT BACK TOGETHER JUST AS EASY. GOOD STUFF! RECOMMENDED. (THIS REVIEW IS BASED ON A BRAND NEW MACHINE, LET'S SEE WHAT A YEAR DOES)

- SMALL COLLECTION DRUM MEANS FREQUENT EMPTYING, ALTHOUGH THE NEW TRAP DOOR DEVICE THINGY MAKES IT EASIER..................ADDING MORE CLEANING ACCESSORIES IN THE BOX WOULD BE GREAT AS ALL BUT THE 'CAR KIT' SEEMS ESSENTIAL TO ME.

+ Picks up fluff, hairs & fine dust very effectively. Brush can be switched off to protect delicate flooring. Canister easy to empty & clean.

- Seems heavier & more difficult to manouvre than my old DC07, it actually makes my wrist ache which I think is due to the handle being shorter than on the old model (I'm a 6' 2" tall man). Doesn't clean into edges & corners as effectively as the DC07 due to the design of the cleaning head leaving a 1/2" gap between the brush and the outer casing. The mains lead is not as long as on the DC07 & the stand is a real pain, difficult to latch/unlatch & catches on furniture in use. The extendable hose & tools are also not as convenient as on the DC07.
