+ it really does pick up pet hair, and it doesnt lose suction due to clogged filters how ever long you take to vacuum your house.

- attachments are bit bulky and awkward to manage until you get used to them

+ Easy to empty and has large capacity cylinder. Power head is excellent at picking up dirt and fluff. We don't have pets but this does a fantastic job of the carpets. Small turbo head is excellent for doing the stairs. The machine folds away nice and compact, except for the turbe heads.

- Price - its quite expensive but you are paying for a very good product.

+ This is a great vacuum cleaner, very easy to move about. I love the way all the tools fit in the back neatly and are easy to access and the wrap around design of the hose. It takes up very little room when stored - perfect for a small house. Of course it has the Dyson power and works brilliantly.

+ IT DOES NOT LOOSE POWER AT ALL. IT IS EASY TO PULL AROUND AND FANTASTIC ON STAIRS.

+ I found it easy enough to keep tidy and light enough to take up and down stairs (but it would be easier for people who were unable to lift through age or ailment if it were lighter). I would have liked to have the rotating brush facility with the machine as I know this would be inaluable if you have a carpet pile which really attracts pet hairs. So I will have to invest further in this additional brush.

- I can't really think of any but maybe it could be a little bit more secure when placed on stair tread.

+ This is the best vacum cleaner I have ever owned. The first time we vacumed the house we had to empty it 4 times. The handle is collapsable, so it is not falling around the cupboard like a normal vacum might. Turbo heads are excellent and give the carpet pile a good clean. Dyson sell accessory kits, but this vacum comes with excellent accessories, so I would advise not to buy any extras.

- The bagless cyliner is small, and the max =imum fill line is reached easily. Vacum is a complete pleasure to use otherwise, and this is not a major issue.

+ when they named the animal they were not wrong. when you have used this vacuum, especially on carpet they look like new again.

- i had a dc02 before this and when purchasing thought that i would just get an updated version of design points i thouight were standard. it no longer fits on the stairs in a hugging position which i now find more inconvenient anthe main vacuum head i find is to big and bulky and does not go under the furniture like the old one did.

- Not very easy to use on stairs. The head provided was too flexible, so when picked up to go across stair or up another stair, was very floppy and unruly. needs a button to adjust.

+ Great suction- filled the cylinder twice on its 1st use & I thought my house was clean! Really good accessories- it does edges, crevices, upholstery & you can even dust with it. Also works well on all surfaces.

- it is difficult to dismantle if you have a weakness in your fingers and cant grip to hold in the clips. It is timely if you want to just hoover up spills and overall i would go back to an upright if i had not just spent alot of money on this

+ Good choice for homes with both hard & soft flooring due to interchangable heads.

- Dust container is a little fiddly as it has to be separated to empty it - unlike the upright model which has a hinged flap.

- Quite heavy and noisy. Tools stored on the main body can be hard to remove and replace. Retractable hose sometimes collapses in use.

+ BRILLIANT AT PICKING UP PET HAIR ETC TOOLS EASY TO USE GETS RIGHT UP TO THE EDGE OF THE CARPET AND FOR AWKWARD SPACES THE CREVIS TOOL IS IDEAL. ITS NOT TOO HEAVY WHEN GOING UP OR DOWN STAIRS AND THE HARD FLOOR TOOL IS REALLY GOOD ON LAMINATE FLOORING. THE FLEXIBLE MOVING HEAD MAKES IT VERY EASY WORK.

- I BOUGHT SOME OF THE EXTRA TOOLS THE CAR KIT AND ALTHOUGH ALL THE TOOLS ARE AS DESCRIBED AND AGAIN WORK BRILLIANTLY I DO BELIEVE THAT THEY ARE ON THE EXPENSIVE SIDE ALTHOUGH I DON'T REGRET BUYING THEM

+ Amazing design, so easy to fit together and storage is brilliant with the wraparound hose and fittings click straight onto the back of the unit. Suction power is brilliant- best I have used, I'm amazed how much it picked up, the motorised head is great. Reach is great with long cord and hose/ gun. Cylinder just pops off with a simple click and all the lid flips up and the dirt is easily in the bin without any mess.

- A little bit too big for sitting safely on the stairs, but its easy enough to hold (I am quite strong but dont let that put you off!)

- The weight of the handle?arm of the vac. For young to middle age i guess its not a problem but for my retired mother who i also bought one for finds the arm heavy to move around with.
