- A tad expensive.

+ compact, easy to use, light weight, evdrything fits and worksao much better than any other vacuum i have had

- The largest head, although it does go very flat which is good to get under things, is actually quite small and so it takes quite a lot of hoovering to do the same amount as other hoovers.

+ Lightweight and easy to move around. Good suction. Does what it says on the tin!

- Hose quite bulky to store - I thought wrap around models were too much to pay for a vacuum cleaner.

- awkward to carry with the handle sticking up. The handle aslo makes storage a bit odd so that the bulk of it can be tidied away, but then theres this whacking great handle thing. Takes up slighlty more storage space than an upright as a result

- I preferred some of the tools and the handle arrangement of my old DC05 Dyson but this is probably because I was used to it - time will tell.

+ no dust bags to empty you can see when it needs empting. good 5 yr guarantee

- haven't got a turbo head and the one there is on it is hopeless picking up cat fur from carpet.

+ Pretty good on hard floors and the head goes well under furniture.Easier to empty the bin than the DC04 and lighter to carry round.

- Doesn't come with a head for carpets and doesn't warn of this. Seems to be less powerful than DC04 though maybe carpets will last longer this way. Power lead is shorter, machine gets caught behind things and its harder to use in general. Bin is a bit fiddly to get the lid back on and pretty small.

- There was no instructions and I was expecting a different nozzle or to be able to click the nozzle at a different level on hard floors to carpets but it's all the same. I feel it drags a bit on the carpet.

- you may as well be carrying a train up the stairs, not portable as it may seem, Dyson is excellent for this type of product, but this one is not so portable, or even for storage, fed up with having to lift it up the stairs for my other half.

+ I have a fairly small property, its compact so storage is not a problem, its not too heavy, very easy to use and the tools make access to hard to get at places simple. The suction is fantastic and emptying the cylinder is simple too. All in all a marvellous machine.

- It is a little bit too heavy. The brush is nit as sustantial as expected but I still reserve my decision on its effectiveness. Cable for electric supply too short.

+ So quick to use, I whizz round in a third of the time I used to with my old vacuum. It came with a small selection of tools which actually fit on the main body of the vacuum and stay there. I love the run flat tool.

- The run flat tool is the main tool for vacuuming and sometimes I find it doesn't always pick up all loose hairs and cotton threads,just moves them.

+ Great design and easy to use. Very effective at picking up dust and never having had a dyson before I am avidly fascinated by the amount of dust being sucked into it from what I thought were clean floors!!

- Difficult to store away and the attachments fall out of their stowages. There are no graduated options for the suction, it is either full on or you can open the vent for less suction on your rugs/curtains.

+ great little hover and easy to store. only had it for a month but no problems. A great alternative to the upright hoovers especially if you only have a small space for storage. Easy to use and take apart for emptying etc.

+ I have had a dyson before dyson 05 and that is why i opted to by another. The performance of this model is as good as my other but there are some not so good points as indicated below. The new place you have stored the bits and pieces is better at the back than on the hose they are now out of the way.

- The machine seems to blow air at you as you are vacuming which can be a bit anoying when the vacum is close by. Where the hose connects to the vacum seems to be in the wrong place as when you are vacuming it doesn't follow you about but bumps into things as you pull it along. Also the hose tends to just pull out when you don't want it to.

+ LIFTING POWER IS VERY GOOD, ITS LIGHT WEIGHT, NO MORE BAGS, EASY TO CLEAN.

- ELECTRICAL CORE IS NOT LONG ENOUGH.
