+ Really easy to use and convenient for doing those little places that are hard to reach. Cars and stairs are easy to do with this.

- apart from the uncomfortable trigger we were very pleased untill two weeks after purchase the charger packed up, but to be fair was speedily replaced by dyson.

definately the best hand held we have experienced.

- I have arthritis in both hands and wrists, so it does get a bit heavy when used for longer periods such as when doing the stairs, and on these occasions it would also be handy if the trigger could be locked on.
but the convenience is worth the pain

- No where to store the attachements, would have been good to have a wall mounted holder for the three additional attachements.

+ Handheld, nozzle good for PC maintenance, animal attachment works - the rotational thingy is powered electrically (unlike my old big dyson animal which relied on the suction of air to make the rotational thing work) & picks up lots of cat fur. Strange but: Short battery life - you can actually be timed so it's a few minutes workout everyday! There are bad points, but overall the good points outweigh the bad as the product works as I intended it - I knew of its shortcomings of battery life etc, but it does the job I want it to - but improvements can be made so that Dyson will release one that is the ultimate of all handhelds... (exisiting users may want to upgrade... )

- Short bettery life - however it is a handheld so don't expect to replace the 1000W+ vacuum cleaner (it would've been nice tho if it could!), long recharge time - cannot wait until rechargeable batery technology improves to be fully charged in a few seconds/minutes, heavy after a few mins use - my own arm is out of shape, finger must be on the power button in order to work - a kind of on "hold" switch would be nice - esp when I got an accessory kit for free which included a hose so one hand on the power button the other sweeping the tops of cupboards.
animal attachement works until it gets clogged up and stops working until you clean it out manually, with fur the eject mechanism sucessfully opens the flap but the fur clings on inside so sometimes you need to manual help the waste out, eugh.

+ It's easy to use and means I don't have to get the big vacuum out for a few crumbs. It copes easily with pet hairs.

- Occasionaly I get carried away and the battery runs out and it neds to be re-charged. The 6 minute battery life could do with being increased to 10 minutes. I'm always working against knowing I've only got 6 minutes worth of battery life.

+ picks up almost as well as my real vacuum.easy to empty. doesn't run down like other handhelds- works to full capacity then stops sudddenly.

- 6 mins of charge is not as long as i'd like, then takes three hours to fully charge again. quite heavy compared to other handhelds.

- 6 min battery is not enough. i can't even do my stairs in 6 mins, i only manage half of them. it's also quite heavy.

+ Superb suction power - sweeps up animal hair and general dirt fast. Battery fully charged from scratch within three hours - much better than our previous dustbuster. Easy to empty and to swap attachments. It's actually fun to use, strange as that may sound. I can't imagine a better handheld vacuum cleaner.

- Battery only lasts for 6 minutes! We needed to buy a second battery to be sure that it'd last down our whole staircase. Only meant for small tasks (ie cleaning your sofa), but, boy, does it do them well!

Does a great job on upholstery in the house and caravan

- Discharge rate is too high, doesn't last long enough on a full charge to fully clean my car.
Difficult to use in some areas of the car due to its bulk, could do with a flexible extension pipe to reach into the crevices between car seats. and foot wells.

+ Great to use on stairs and in the car. It also picks up crumbs and bits of food from under the table. You don't have to drag a big vacuum cleaner out to do those small jobs. Easy to operate and quite light.

- As reported by everyone else, it only has a 6 minute of use before you have to recharge it for 3 hours. But for me thats fine. I can clean down 3 flights of stairs in that time or vacuum out my car. It is not a replacement for a full size vacuum. But it is very useful for small areas and especially the car.

- it is a little on the expensve side and if you have slate flooring like i do it can scratch the surface whilst using the nozles. there are some felt type bits to protect your floor but not enough. having said that no other handheld hoover has any protection at all.

The battery time I thought could be a problem but no if you use this for what it was made for i.e. not to replace the main vacuum cleaner but to vac up small areas around the house and even the car its great.

- wall fitting and charging battery pack is fiddly and restrictive. Charge is only 6 minutes but when you get used to what this means for vacuuming it is easy enough to adjust to.

+ Fantastic handheld vacumn - has the power of a standard full-sized. I was very impressed and surprised. The rotor brush helps too as it lifts the pile. It's outstanding the amount it picks up for a handheld. I also liek that it doesn't go gradually flat - you get full suction until it runs out of power.

+ Very efficient. Very easy to change heads. The revolving brush head is not found on any other comparable product. It works very well indeed, I feel. A well designed product over all, as one would expect from Dyson. But you have to pay for the quality and the good design.

- Battery lasts for 7 minutes only before re-charging is needed. One needs to work quickly and efficiently! But you can do a lot in 7 minutes if you know what I mean!
